A Chelsea candlestick figure group c.1760, modelled in the Fable manner with a fox and a hen, the fox looking back over his shoulder while the hen struggles beneath his paws, all raised on a scroll base before flowering bocage, a rococo moulded sconce above, gold anchor mark, one ear restored, a little chipping, 22cm.
A silver and blue guilloche enamel dressing set, Birmingham 1930, of seven pieces Condition Report: Mirror good, glass intact. Brushes generally good, the bristles are stiff and they do not appear to have been much used however the colour is a little brown. One candlestick has small chip to enamel foot rim, marks a little rubbed from polishing. The other candlestick has two areas of chipping to enamel foot rim it has also been broken through the stem and repaired badly, the weighting beneath is also a later replacement.
18th century AD. A bronze candlestick base of stepped profile with ten facets, tubular neck and flared socket above; inlaid running guilloche with avian roundels above, silver-inlaid calligraphic text to the socket, body and shoulder.
