One figure modelled in dress enjoying fruit and wine and the other feeding a song bird in a cage. Both set on fantastic later Victorian ormolu scrolled bases with two branch candlestick backs having leaf and vase sconces.

A GEORGE I BURR WALNUT SMALL SIZED CARD TABLE with herringbanded and cross-banded outset folding top revealing a baize interior with circular candlestick rests to each corner, above a shaped frieze with two small fitted drawers having brass loop droppers; standing on slender cabriole legs with pad feet and shaped carved shell knees 76cm wide 37cm deep 74cm high.ConditionIn good original condition with no splits or warps to the top, the drawers are original and the bottom of the right drawer is half missing. The legs are in good condition with no breaks or replacements and are dirty.
A RARE JAPANESE IMARI FIGURE OF A RECLINING BIJIN C. 1700 Painted in coloured enamels and gilt, the beauty rests on one hand whilst holding a vase in the other, her kimono decorated with quatrefoil patterns, stylised birds and paulownia leaves reminiscent of the Imperial crest, 24cm. See B Davies, Barry Davies Oriental Art, Ko-Imari Porcelain from the Collection of Oliver Impey, p.202 fig.120 for a similar figure holding a candlestick.
