A pair of Samson porcelain candlestick figures of a gent and his lady companion, both seated before bocage, he with a bird on his right knee and his dog between his feet, she holding a bird box in her right arm and a recumbent lamb at her feet, decorated in bright enamel colours, on rococo bases, circa 1880, pseudo gold anchor mark. Size approx. 34.5cm high. Condition: Man - fingers on left hand missing, leaves and flowers chipped, paint flake to pink skirt, some wear to gilding on both figures, both sconces re-attached.
