A Pair of French Ormolu Candlesticks of Louis XV Design, 19th Century, after a design by Juste Aurele Meissonnier, the stems cast with entwined cherubs supporting leaf scroll sconces, on scroll and shell cast bases, 16ins high, now converted to electric table lamps Note: These are after a 1728 design of a candlestick by Juste Aurele Meissonier (1695-1750). Three drawings for this model were engraved by Louis Desplaces (1682-1739), and published in "Dousieme Livre des Oeuvre de J.A.
