A scratch built model of a twin cylinder mill engine, built by Mr W Telford from his own research, the engine has polished steel cylinders with eccentric driven piston valves, Stephenson's link reverse, polished brass flywheel, disc crank with push rods and trunk guides. The cylinders have one steam inlet and two exaust outlets with two drain cocks per cylinder. The engine is mounted on a polished brass base with linkage pipe to horizontal copper boiler having mahogany lagging, sight glass and pressure gauge. It has an original boiler test certificate dated 15-6-1990 from Swindon boilers with a hydrostatic test of 100 lbs p.s.i.

A finely engineered 3in scale model of a Burrell Agricultural Traction engine 'Bill', built by the late Mr R Newport of Devises, Wiltshire. The engine with silver soldered copper boiler with fittings including water gauge, pressure gauge, safety, blower, injector, whistle, clack and other valves. Engine details include cylinder with 2in bore x 2 1/2in stroke,footplate controlled drain cocks, mechanical lubricator, Stephenson's link reverse, eccentric driven feed pump and by-pass, two road speeds, pickering governor, whistle, and spoked flywheel. Chassis details include spoked straked wheels with brass hub caps, cable drum, cable and fairleads, water lifter and pipe, hand operated band brake and footboard, finished in red lined and black paintwork with polished brightwork, firing tools, blower and driving trolly. Boiler by R R Chambers Serial No R.C.541 Original Hydraulic Test 200 psi. Working Pressure 100 psi. Certificate dated 17-6-1981. Southern Federation of Model Engineering Societies Certificate No 4085 Tested to 6-5-1997

Chassis detail including outside cylinders 1 1/8in bore x 1 3/4in stroke with slide valve, Walschaert's valve gear, some fluting to motion, cab controlled draincocks and pipe work, lubricator, feed pump and bypass. Tender with steps and unusual arrangements, hand feed pump. 47in long x 6 1/2in.
