1988 Mercedes-Benz 300SLRegistration no. F437 KGPChassis no. WDB1070412A098090Odometer reading: 158,000MOT: 21/07/22*Recent full service and MOT*Wax oiled*Hard-top included The R107 Mercedes SL is one of the most elegant and successful cars to ever be produced by Mercedes-Benz. In production between 1971 and 1989, the R107 generation of SL was built during a golden era of Mercedes build quality and high-class engineering. In 1985 the R107 was updated with an improved front suspension and a choice of new engines which helped to improve comfort, handling and performance. This 1988 example is a 300SL which is powered by the smooth Mercedes 3.0-litre inline-six cylinder engine that's ideal for long distance cruising. Presented in white and with 158,000 miles from new, the car is in a presentable condition for its age and has recently had a respray to bring the car up to an acceptable standard. The convertible soft-top is in good condition, and there is also a hard-top included in the sale. Recent work on the car includes a new front gearbox pipe, new fuel lines and pipes, and a new fuel pump (with filter). The car has also been fully welded, wax oiled and MOT'd with a full engine service and transmission flush. A cherished example.Footnotes:Vendor Score Total: 60/100Bidders should note that the automated 100-point Seller's Assessment is provided by each Seller at the point of consignment using the guidelines below, and is not provided, assessed or verified by Bonhams MPH.
