Buyer must be over the age of 18, age verification ID will be required if the lot it to be posted out.112cm longCondition report: The bore has some light pitting but nothing that breaks the rifling. The exterior has some very light surface pitting as well as wear to the bluing. The action cocks correctly with a firm mainspring. There is a gap between the barrel and the false breech which raises the question of weather the barrel is original to the false breech. The ramrod pipe rail looks to have been reattached to the barrel and is slightly proud at the muzzle end. The ramrod is a replacement. There are some short splits to the top of the butt stock near the buttplate tang, outside of this the stock is free from damages or repairs but it does have several dents knocks and marks.

A Yoruba boat group by Thomas Ona Nigeria with a tiller man, four oarsmen with oars, an umbrella and a colonial figure wearing a wrist watch and holding a large pipe, with pigment decoration, 18.5cm high, 29.5cm long. Provenance Michael Graham-Stewart, London, UK. Thomas Onajeje Odulate c.1900 - 1952, worked in Ikorodu and later in Lagos where he produced large quantities of novel woodcarvings depicting both colonials and Yoruba. The colonial figures included District Officers and other administrators, soldiers, lawyers, missionaries, married couples, some with their pets, polo players and even Queen Victoria. Seen as satirical or as caricatures, Ona once described his works were simply how he viewed the world around him.
A Yombe tiered group Democratic Republic of the Congo the lower figures sitting cross legged and with the left hand supporting the chin, the next sitting with hands on the abdomen and with a pipe fitting through the mouth and the back of the neck and with another hole to the back, the top seated figure with short arms and wearing a rimmed headdress, the front with burn damage from the pipe below, 63.5cm high.

WW1 Éclair Vermorel Sprayer Canister, Used to Neutralise Gas in the Trenches After A Deadly Gas Attack, metal canister with the original hose pipe and leather shoulder straps. Details impressed into the canister. An agricultural instrument that were acquired by the allied forces during WW1 to neutralise the Trenches after a gas attack was launched. Many photographs exist of these instruments being used after gas attacks, especially in the early part of the war when the use of poisonous gas was a new weapon.
