A GOOD QUALITY SAXON CAVALRY OFFICER'S SABRE, by Weyersberg and Kirschbaum, Solingen, with 32 1/2in. curved pipe-back blade with spear-point, the forte etched and gilded with foliage, royal monogram and Saxon arms, and brass hilt with lion-head pommel, foliate decorated knuckle-bow and one langet decorated with lances, swords and carbines, wire-bound shagreen-covered grip, with its original sword-knot (damaged), in its black lacquered steel scabbard (scabbard relacquered).
