Geologie - Bergbau - - Ludwig Zobel. Entwurf zu einer Rohrvorrichtung der Königlichen Saline Neusalzwerk mit Benutzung des Gestänges der Brunenkunst. Entworfen und gezeichnet, Neusalzwerk den 22.ten Februar 1843 von dem Kunstmeister August Konig. Copiert im Jahre 1852 von Ludwig Zobel. Aquarelle und Feder auf Papier, mit schwarzem Tuschrand. 52 x 78 cm. Auf Unterlage und unter Passepartout montiert. Die Zeichnung zeigt zwei Quer-Profile, ein Längen-Profil und zwei Grundrisse der Bohrvorrichtung. Die Bohrungen fanden zwischen 1830 und 1845 in Neusalzwerk unter der Leitung von Karl von Oeynhausen statt. Dabei entstand das damals tiefste Bohrloch der Welt aus welchem das heutige Thermalbad Oeynhausen hervorging. - Zart gebräunt und minimal fleckig. Farbleuchtend. Geology - Mining - Design for a pipe device for the Royal Salt Works at Neusalzwerk using the rodding of the well art. Designed and drawn, Neusalzwerk, February 22, 1843, by the art master August Konig. Copied in 1852 by Ludwig Zobel. Watercolours and pen and ink on paper, with black ink border. Mounted on a backing and under a passepartout. - The drawing shows two transverse profiles, one longitudinal profile and two ground plans of the drilling jig. The drilling took place between 1830 and 1845 in Neusalzwerk under the direction of Karl von Oeynhausen. This resulted in the deepest borehole in the world at that time, from which today's Oeynhausen thermal spa emerged. - A little bit browned and minimally stained. Colours bright.

Early 19th Century Light Cavalry Officer's Sword 33 inch, single edged, slightly curved, pipe back blade with quill point.  Blade with etched maker's scrolls and foliage "Jackson Warranted Cut Iron Birmm".  Steel crossguard with downswept quillon and double langets.  Stirrup knuckle bow.  Plain steel pommel and backstrap.  Leather covered, ribbed wooden grip.  Steel with light rusting.  

Mid 19th Century Cavalry Pattern Percussion Pistol 14 bore, 9 inch, octagonal barrel.  1842 style lock plate with percussion hammer.  Polished, full stock woodwork.  Brass trigger guard and ramrod pipe.  Ramrod replaced.  Old repaired split under the lock plate.  

Mid 19th Century Percussion "London" Made Man Stopper Pistol 22 bore, 6 inch barrel.  The top engraved "London".  Breech with two silvered bands and side drum and nipple conversion. Plain, steel lock plate with large percussion hammer.  Polished, full stock woodwork with checkered grip.  Steel trigger guard, ramrod pipe and captive ramrod.  White metal escutcheon.  Old break to grip and various small cracks.  

Mid 19th Century Ornate Spanish Percussion Sporting Musket 18 bore, 40 3/4 inch, smoothbore barrel.  White metal blade foresight.  The top flat engraved "I. Salvador Lopes Madrid".  The rear section heavily chiselled with floral scrolls, mask and cross.  Brass, V rear sight.  Plain lock plate with steel percussion hammer.  Polished, half stock woodwork.  Cast brass, ornately detailed with floral and figure butt plate and trigger guard.  Single steel, ramrod pipe.  Steel ramrod.  Some wear to butt plate.  

Mid 19th Century Percussion Double Barrel Shotgun 14 bore, 29 3/4 inch, side by side barrels with lower ramrod pipes.  Lock plate with line edge engraving and foliage scroll panels.  Dolphin head percussion hammers with foliage engraving.  Polished, half stock woodwork with checkered wrist and forend.  Steel butt plate, trigger guard and single ramrod pipe.  Butt tip with old repair. 

Mid 19th Century Percussion Sporting Shotgun by "F Moore" 15 bore, 31 1/2 inch barrel with lower ramrod rib.  Breech with proof stamps.  Back action lock plate with engraved hunting dog and game.  Maker "F Moore".  Polished, half stock woodwork.  Checkered wrist.  Steel butt plate, scroll trigger guard and ramrod pipe.  Horn end cap.  Wooden ramrod with brass end.  

Early 19th Century Converted Flintlock Sporting Musket by "Sowerby" 14 bore, 34 1/2 inch, smoothbore barrel.  Rear with drum and nipple conversion.  Converted flintlock plate with stepped and chamfered edge.  Foliage engraving and maker "Sowerby".  Polished, half stock woodwork with checkered wrist.  Steel butt plate, scroll trigger guard and ramrod pipe.  Hammer and lower barrel pipes absent.  Attic find condition.  

Imperial German Seitengewehr M1898 Regimental Stamped Bayonet 20 1/2 inch, single edged, pipe back, quill point blade.  Narrow fuller.  Forte with maker "Alex Coppel Solingen".  Rear spine dated "07".  Steel, turn up quillon crossguard stamped "53 R. 8.186".  Steel pommel with Inspection stamps.  Wooden grooved, slab grips with some damage.  Contained in its steel mounted, leather scabbard.  

A SMALL GROUP OF CHINESE ITEMS LATE QING DYNASTY/REPUBLIC PERIOD Comprising: a wood opium pipe with metal mounts inset with coloured jewels, two frames containing openwork carved wood panels, one depicting an Immortal with his attendants, the other with three panels of birds and flowers, and three enamelled teapots and covers, the bell-shaped teapots with four character marks to the bases reading guan yao nei zao, the hexagonal-section teapot with a removable liner and a matched cover, with an impressed seal mark to the base, 37cm max. (10) Provenance: from the collection of Colonel Timothy Van Rees.
