A VERY FINE QUALITY SIGNED JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD IVORY RECTANGULAR TRAY, the inset top surface finely carved with a lady in a palanquin stopping to converse with a flower girl, one of her bearers resting on the bank, the other smoking a pipe, the rim carved with a highly detailed border of overlapping flowerheads, the tray supported on scroll corner feet, 7.2in x 5in x 0.8in high.
