A Pair of North American Native Beaded Sole Moccasins, decorated with geometric bands and devices, possibly Western Sioux, circa 1900; a Similar Tobacco / Pipe Pouch, with suspended quill-bound hide tassels, approx. 80 cm long overall. Both moccasins with losses to beadwork in places. One moccassin with tear to hid down one side and with a beaded tab extending over top - the other moccasin with tab lacking. Pouch with losses to beadwork in places. Beaded border around top rim partly detached. Quill-bound tassels tatty and with some losses.

A 19th Century Percussion Greatcoat Pistol, the 15.5cm octagonal steel barrel with Birmingham proof marks to the underside, the breech, tang and back action lock plate engraved with scrolling leaves, the walnut full stock with nickel escutcheon, steel ramrod pipe and trigger guard and with chequered bag butt, with brass tipped wood ramrod, 28cm. Action works, holds at full and half cock. Grey patching and pitting to metalwork. Repair to left side of stock above trigger guard, crack to right side.

An Early 19th Century Indian Flintlock Holster Pistol, the 32.5cm round barrel octagonal at the breech, the top flat engraved with script, the lock plate bears traces of engraving, the wood full stock with steel ramrod pipe and trigger guard, with chequered grip, flat oval pommel with steel butt plate, inlaid with lozenge and quatrefoil motifs in mother of pearl, with steel ramrod, 49.5cm. Action does not work. Pitting to metalwork. Left fore-end has slivers of wood missing in two places along the barrel, with a crack at the muzzle end.

A Pair of 19th Century Percussion Travelling Pistols by Thomas Hewson, London, 16 bore, each with 14cm octagonal blued steel barrel, engraved London to the top flat, with platinum line, blued foliate engraved tang and signed back action lock plate, the walnut full stock inset with nickel escutcheon engraved J.D.Colburne, with blued ramrod pipe and trigger guard, chequered bag butt and swivel ramrod, 27cm, in original oak case, the cover with brass plaque engraved with owner's name, the purple velvet lined interior fitted with accessories including a copper pistol flask, steel bullet mould, nipple key and cleaning rod. Actions work, hold at full and half cock. Black patching and wear to bluing of metalwork. Minor bruising to stocks, otherwise in good condition.

A William IV Coastguard Type Percussion Pistol, with 15 cm barrel stamped London proof marks, the lockplate tail stamped, ''TOWER'' and engraved with crowned Royal cypher, sliding safety catch, with plain brass trigger guard, ramrod pipe and butt mount with steel lanyard ring, the walnut stock faintly branded Board of Ordnance initials and broad arrow, steel swivel ramrod. Residual pitting to metal parts which have probably been cleaned. Stock repolished. Minor faults overall commensurate with age and use. Action tight and holding at half and full cock

An Early 19th Century Flintlock Pistol, with 22.5 cm barrel, plain brass trigger guard and ramrod pipe, full walnut stock, the brass-tipped ramrod fitted with a worm. Overall condition good with usual signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Action tight and holding at half and full cock.

Lot 479

A George III Flintlock Pistol to Dublin Castle, the 23cm round barrel with proof marks of a crowned GR/ arrowhead, and crossed sceptres, the tail of the lock plate stamped DUBLIN CASTLE and with crowned GR, the walnut full stock with a brass ramrod pipe, trigger guard, side plate and butt cap, 40cm (a.f.) . Cock missing. The internal lock spring has pushed down and split the underside of the stock above the trigger guard. There is some loss of the fore-end at the muzzle. Barrel is pitted.

An 18th Century Officer's Silver Mounted Percussion Holster Pistol by Joseph Bunney, London, converted from a flintlock, the 24cm three stage barrel octagonal at the breech, signed to the top flat, and with Tower Ordnance marks, the signed and foliate engraved lock plate with slide safety, the walnut full stock carved in low relief with tear drops and shell motif, with silver ramrod pipes, trigger guard with urn of flowers finial, the silver side plate and escutcheon worked as martial trophies, the spurred butt plate with grotesque mask pommel, with brass tipped wood ramrod, 38cm, hallmarks for Birmingham 1776 (a.f.) . Action works, holds at full and half cock. The tail of the hammer is broken off which makes it very difficult to cock. The barrel and action have a dark brown patina. The fore-end has a repair to either side of the rear ramrod pipe. The silver side plate has a small piece missing. The trigger guard finial is lifting slightly. The ramrod has a break at one end. The silver mounts are of good quality.

A Victorian Coast Guard's Percussion Belt Pistol, the 15cm steel barrel double struck with crowned 7 and TP over broad arrow, the lock plate with crowned VR and crowned broad arrow, the left side of the walnut full stock stamped OMD/1, with brass fore-end tip, ramrod pipe and trigger guard, the tang marked XXIIII, the brass butt cap with steel lanyard ring, steel belt clip and swivel ramrod, 29cm. Strong action works, holding at full and half cock. Minor bruising to stock. Lovely brown patina to metalwork.

Action works, holds at full and half cock. Bore has deep pitting in places. Barrel cleaned off, black patching in places. Grey pitting to cock and lock plate.Minor bruising to stock, three repaired cracks to fore-end running from first ramrod pipe to barrel.

Barn find: a unique Rover Ten 'Disco Volante'. A custom made aluminium ‘Disco Volante’ built on a Rover Ten chassis. The car was built for Flt Lieutenant Crowley by Mitchenall Bros., Darrington, and was exhibited at the Earl’s Court Car Show in the early ‘50s. An article at the time described the alterations: ‘A special radiator was designed and a horizontal S.U. substituted for the previous downdraught model, with the result that the height at the scuttle was lowered by about 15 inches.
