Suzuki TC 250 X6 Registration Number: Please see text Frame Number: TC250 50904 Engine Number: TC250 51067 - Only 9,000 miles, engine overhauled, high pipe version of sought-after Super Six In 1965 great excitement awaited in the motorcycle world as Suzuki unveiled a prestigious new road bike, the T20, lovingly known as the Super Six. The bike was an instant success, hailing the start of the Suzuki being accepted as a major quality motorcycle manufacturer, rather than just a maker of mopeds and ride to work machines. The T20 sported a 29 bhp 247cc 2 stroke engine and boasted an eyebrow-raising top speed of 100 mph through a six speed gearbox, which gave the bike the nickname Super Six. In 1966 and 1967 the Suzuki Super Six was the first Japanese machine to ever win the prestigious Motorcycle News 'Machine of the Year' award. Developed for the American market, the TC 250 X6, a T20 with upswept exhausts, satisfied the American desire for street scrambler style machines. This nicely original TC250, with c.9,000 miles recorded, was imported from the USA and into current ownership. The engine has been overhauled by the vendor and has been recently running. A V5c and UK registration is currently being processed by DVLA, it is hoped this will be in place by the time of the auction in February.
2002 Triumph Bonneville America Registration Number: WP52 VXZ Frame Number: SMTTJ901YL3161697 Engine Number: 162348 - Low mileage, well maintained bike Introduced in 2002, the Triumph Bonneville America blended classic British heritage with American cruiser styling, offering a relaxed yet engaging riding experience. Powered by a 790cc parallel-twin engine, it delivered smooth, responsive performance with the unmistakable character of Triumph’s storied Bonneville lineage. Designed with long-distance cruising in mind, the Bonneville America features a laid-back riding position, a low-slung seat, and distinctive chrome accents, including a striking twin-pipe exhaust system. As Motorcycle News remarked, "The Triumph America is a cruiser with real cred – it harks back to the Thunderbird and other Triumphs modified in the States in the 60s and 70s." This well-preserved 2002 example presents in excellent condition, showing just 5,081 miles. Retaining its original two-tone blue and silver paintwork with classic Bonneville badging, it has been carefully maintained and remains in fine running order. With bright chrome and a timeless design, it represents an opportunity to own a modern classic from one of Britain’s most celebrated motorcycle marques.
Not to be confused with Jaguar-Sport, the JaguarSport XJR S was a unique, 6-litre XJR developed jointly by Jaguar and TWR. Only 115 right-hand drive cars were built and this is undoubtedly one of the best. One of the rarest of all XJS, the XJR S was a special development by JaguarSport, a conjunction between Jaguar and Tom Walkinshaw’s TWR. Owned 50/50 by both parties, JaguarSport was launched in 1988 and planned to produce the epitome of all things Jaguar. With the XJR S, they certainly achieved that. Hand-built at JaguarSport in Kidlington by the TWR engineers who had worked on the XJ220. With the focus of the car not just being upon the unique engine fitted to those cars made post 1989, the chassis was developed to ensure this was the most competent it could be to handle the 160mph top speed from its V12 engine. Compared favourably to Italian and German competitors of the time, the work between Jaguar and TWR certainly ensured these of all XJS are the most sought after. The JaguarSport XJR S may have looked similar to their production counterparts, but differed immensely with many parts unique to the model and of course, its 6-litre V12 engine. The engine was rated at 318bhp and was 700cc larger than the previous 5.3-litre V12. A modified intake system, Zytek engine management and a low-loss true dual exhaust system were part of the car’s advanced specification. The Hydramatic GM400 was modified with different 'changing points' to better suit the 6-litre car and a Salisbury limited-slip differential was standard. The suspension was further-developed by TWR with increased coil spring rates and the Bilstein shocks, front and rear, were specially tuned for the XJR S.Externally, the cars were modified with a subtly aggressive body kit, 16" 'Speedline' aerodynamic wheels and a host of modifications inside included a bespoke Connolly Autolux leather interior and the steering wheel was made for JaguarSport by Momo of Milan. They were normally built to order, with cars being transported from Browns Lane to Kidlington to be hand-finished. At £45,500, it was £11,000 more than the 5.3 which explains why a little over 500 were made (115 in right-hand drive) before production stopped in 1993, making them highly sought after today. This low ownership, very low-mileage example is accompanied by an excellent history file, detailing services from delivery in 1993 until 2005 with just a few periods of inactivity until the odometer had reached 23,000 miles approximately. It has covered very few miles since that point, indeed only showing a touch over 29,800 miles at the time of cataloguing, having formed part of a large private Collection for the last few years.Sold by us two years ago from seven years of second ownership, it's supplied with its original book pack, tool roll and more as well as a history file detailing relatively recent expenditure including brake pipe replacement, a power-steering refresh and some interior cosmetic work to ensure that the car remains at its best. With a fresh MOT and at an estimate that can only be described as sensible given the results for some recent XJS sales, this very special car is offered for sale purely due to our vendor’s advancing years and is sure to create interest from collectors of the very best Jaguars.Specification Make: JAGUAR Model: XJS COUPÉ Year: 1993 Chassis Number: SAJJSAES3EK185754 Registration Number: K615 GOO Transmission: Automatic Engine Number: 8W010745SB Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 29580 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Magnolia LeatherClick here for more details and images
A remarkable example of a very early production Ford Fiesta XR2 Mk2 with just one registered keeper from new. Offered without Reserve. Put into storage around 1995, this time warp example of an early production, second generation XR2 is now fully recommissioned and ready to be enjoyed as its original owner once did. Dating from May 1984, we understand that this is one of the very first cars off the line and its VIN confirms that it was built within the first few weeks of production, very close to those of the early press cars.As is common with most manufacturers, there are features often found on pre-production and press cars that, for one reason or another, do not make it to full production and in this case they include an electric boot release, rear map pockets on the front seats, additional spark amplifier under the bonnet, twin-pipe water pump, metal radiator fan shroud, rainbow interior and the Weber 32/34 carburettor. It was purchased by its one and only keeper in early summer, having been destined originally to be a dealer demonstrator for Holker Ford of Barrow, hence the optional Gloss Black paint finish. It was instead sold to him when his newly ordered car was delayed, on the proviso that they could keep it on display in their showroom to help promote the new model. Giving the new keeper the benefit of it being a B-plate in August no doubt softened the pill of the delay, but possibly also meant that he could touch and feel his new car at least and not risk joining the queue of customers waiting for an unknown period for their cars, bearing in mind at the time XR2s were selling like 'hot cakes'. We understand that the original owner was a chap employed in the services and had treated the car underneath with a rubberised treatment of some sort that has helped this wonderful example stand the test of time incredibly well.Acquired by our vendor just over one year ago, it has been fully recommissioned since its slumber and he attests that this must be one of the most original XR2s in existence. There is little evidence of any fresh paintwork, the panels all seem to be original too and save for the four spotlights currently displayed but which will be removed by the time of the sale, the car presents as if it was only a few months old.A matching numbers, unrestored XR2 from 40 years ownership in this condition is simply remarkable. Iconic Auctioneers are synonymous with offering the rarest and the very best examples of the Blue Oval and we would be very surprised if this example doesn't create quite a stir in the bidding room on sale day, particularly as it's being offered Without Reserve.Specification Make: FORD Model: FIESTA XR2 Year: 1984 Chassis Number: VS6BXXWPFBEC24990 Registration Number: B184 SEO Transmission: Manual Engine Number: EC24990 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 86654 Miles Make: RHDClick here for more details and images
One of the most immaculately presented and meticulously restored Tommi Mäkinens we’ve ever seen. Launched at the peak of rally mania, Mitsubishi experienced huge success in Lancer Evolution sales, reportedly selling 6,000 Evolution IVs in the first three days of its launch! The 1996 WRC season brought Mitsubishi its first World Rally Championship drivers' title, with thanks to a blisteringly quick driver named Tommi Mäkinen. In quick succession, the Lancer Evolution VI came to be and in the latter-half of 1999, Mitsubishi unleashed a special edition to celebrate its favourite driver's four consecutive WRC drivers' titles from 1996-1999; the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI 'Tommi Mäkinen Edition' (TME). The Evolution VI was already a technological tour de force but the TME came equipped with a more responsive titanium turbocharger, uprated and lowered suspension, quicker steering, an upgraded exhaust, a new ECU, beefed-up transfer case internals, a redesigned front bumper for improved cooling and authentic 17" WRC Enkei alloy wheels. The interior featured embossed Recaro seats, a MOMO steering wheel and red stitching. The performance upgrades saw 0-60mph despatched in 4.4 seconds and a maximum top speed of 150mph. Power was rumoured to be north of 300bhp, rather than the 276bhp 'Gentlemans' Agreement'.Widely regarded as the finest Lancer to wear the Evolution badge, it was available in five colours, with Passion Red and Canal Blue joining Scotia White, Pyrenean Black and Satellite Silver. Due to the popularity of early imported cars, especially when imported by RALLIART like this one, the UK was allocated 50 numbered examples in Passion Red. According to Mitsubishi, it was these Passion Red cars that automatically received the renowned racing decals known as a 'Special Colour Package' (SCP), meaning that these examples were factory-fitted with black door handles to not break the line of the long profile decal. On offer here is an extremely early RALLIART-imported car before the 50 numbered cars were decided upon. This is one of the infamous 212 red special colour package (SCP) vehicles confirmed by its SNGF2 VIN plate. Within the history file, there is a document showing the car was imported by RALLIART with an original Bill of Sale and the original English service books and records showing its full service history by Mitsubishi and Mitsubishi specialists. In 2007, at 48,000 miles, the car was purchased by the previous owner who, in 2015, undertook the most phenomenal restoration, with bills and invoices for work undertaken on file well in excess of £30,000.The car was totally stripped back to a bare shell, acid-dipped and all metal that required it was repaired, including replacing the entire floorpan with a genuine Mitsubishi replacement. The shell was epoxy-primed and the underside was then given an additional treatment of Raptor stone chip. Under the bonnet, virtually every component, nut and bolt was stripped, cleaned and painted including zinc-plating the bolts and painting the engine. The wheels were also stripped and powder-coated with the rear lights and front side lights converted to LED.This car features almost every conceivable RALLIART upgrade and extra, as well as having benefited from some upgrades over its life with some non-standard parts that are described in the online listing such as the Scorpion stainless steel exhaust system. Under the bonnet are some 'unobtanium' elements that enhance the engine bay, including bespoke RALLIART pipework, slam panel, spark plug cover and strut brace (front and rear). The full specification is on our website. The car is very well known within the world of TME enthusiasts and owners groups, being such a highly respected restoration and undeniably OEM+. Our vendor is a JDM collector who exclusively looks for best of the best examples, and this Tommi Mäkinen undoubtedly qualifies, however to make room for the next JDM addition, it is time to move it on. Without a doubt one of, if not the, finest condition Tommi Mäkinen we've seen and your inspection is highly recommended and encouraged.Specification list: Engine Standard engine internals. **Please note that since cataloguing the wheels have been professionally stripped and refurbished, being refinished in a later Mulliner style to enhance appearance. Please refer to our website for images.**A fine example of Bentley's 500bhp Arnage T equipped to Mulliner's highest level of luxury features and refinement. At launch, the Arnage T Mulliner Level II was not only the highest specification motorcar available from Bentley, it was also the most powerful model the company had ever produced and the fastest production-specification four-door saloon available anywhere in the world.Like the Arnage R, the T was motivated by RR's venerable 6.75-litre, twin-turbocharged V8, further developed for the 'T' and now producing just over 500bhp and 700lb/ft of torque, a remarkable output sufficient to propel this substantial motor car up to 60mph in 5.5 seconds and onwards to 170mph. 'Mulliner' refers to Bentley's bespoke customisation division and 'Level II' signifies the highest level of luxury features and refinement available within the Mulliner package. This particular example is stylishly finished in the sought after colour combination of Tungsten Grey Metallic over Beluga Black Hide with the car's sporting intentions clearly signalled by the 19" Silver Diamond cut two-piece split-rim alloy wheels. It initially formed part of Bentley Motors' Special Car Division’s own fleet of vehicles for the first 12 months of its life and as you would expect, was specified with the Mulliner II Driving Specification which normally included Mulliner wing badges, quad exhaust tail pipe finishers, lower front wing vents, chrome door mirror covers, electric slide and tilt steel sunroof, four umbrellas to the luggage compartment, drilled aluminium foot pedals, rear quarter companion mirrors, piano black veneer with bright aluminium inserts to facia, veneer to steering wheel controls, veneered picnic tables, front and rear headrests embroidered with Bentley logo, rear quarter badges, rear passenger entertainment system and an electrically operated rear window blind. There is a detailed specification in the history file which can be viewed at the Documents Desk. The comprehensive service history details main dealer attention from new until 40,000 miles, at which point care and attention was passed to Royce Engineering before, more recently, the Bentley's care was entrusted to Copthorne Classic Motors. Little can compare to a Bentley when it comes down to the exclusive engineering and the fit and finish that they provide and with this example presenting superbly throughout, we welcome and encourage your early inspection to fully appreciate the opportunity that this outstanding Mulliner II Arnage T can offer.SpecificationMake: BENTLEYModel: ARNAGE TYear: 2007Chassis Number: SCBLF45F87CH12349Registration Number: DK07 EDFTransmission: AutomaticEngine Number: 200379Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 69982 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Black HideClick here for more details and images
An unrepeatable opportunity to acquire a car that’s been purpose-built to take on one of the world’s greatest motor sport challenges, yet remains UK-registered and road legal. The Sport version of Audi's sensational Quattro was launched in the autumn of 1983, three years after the original's unveiling at the Geneva Salon had taken the motoring world by storm. It had a shortened wheelbase and was fitted with a new, lighter version of the five-cylinder engine boasting an aluminium block and a Twin-Cam 20-valve cylinder head, while anti-lock braking made its first appearance on a Quattro-equipped Audi. Running on Bosch HI-Jetronic fuel-injection, the extensively revised engine developed a claimed 306bhp and gave this quite remarkable road car a top speed of around 155mph. Audi built 214 examples of the Sport, though only 164 were actually sold to customers. We are delighted to be able to offer Keith Edward's legendary 800bhp-plus, SWB Audi S1. It was initially purchased by garage owner and rally driver Keith as a family road car but there were always lots of cars around and the Audi was eventually hardly used. Passionately interested in motorsport, Keith was staring at the car one day and considering selling it, but then he thought that it might be fun to prepare it for a bit of hill climbing at local club level. There simply is not space here to cover the next 30 years of the Quattro's history but a lot of it is available on some much-watched videos and magazine articles. Success at club level led to the car being developed further and further as Keith is a talented and innovative engineer, until it was so competition-focused that it was no longer practical to run it as a road-registered car.Developed and then developed some more over the years, there followed about ten years in the British Hillclimb Championship, a further four or five enjoying invitation events around Europe and finally the ultimate accolade, an invitation from Pikes Peak International Hill Climb to take part in 'The Race to the Clouds'.Keith has a legendary attention to detail and throughout the two decades of development, every nut, bolt, pipe and bracket was given consideration in terms of its weight, fitness for purpose and aesthetic merit with shaving tenths of a second the criteria. There came a point however, when the only way to make the car more competitive was to shorten the wheelbase, as had been done by the factory in late 1983 and Dialynx of Swindon, renowned Quattro specialists and builders of SWB cars and Sport Quattro 'Group B' replicas, were tasked with the job.The body was stripped of its panels, reduced in length by removing 320mm between the B and C posts and rebuilt using Kevlar-composite panels and mouldings (copied directly from Audi UK's own 'Group B' car), with most of the glass replaced by Perspex. Only the original roof and doors remained and even the doors were pared down to about 4lbs in weight. Shortly afterwards, the 10-valve engine was replaced by a 20-valve unit which was extensively modified by Dialynx. Details of these engine mods are academic as the engine has been further developed by Keith himself since then (current spec below). The car's adventures in Europe in this form are all documented in the enormous history file and on a number of YouTube videos. The Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC), also known as 'The Race to the Clouds', is an invitational automobile hill climb to the summit of Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain in Colorado - and is held on the last Sunday in June. From the start at 9,400ft, the 12.42 mile course has 156 bends and finishes at 14,115ft, a climb of over 4,700ft, not far short of a mile vertically. If you were in an unpressurised aeroplane at that height you would have been wearing an oxygen mask for some time, so setting up an internal combustion engine to run on reduced oxygen levels can be complex. The invitation to run the car at Pikes Peak is a major honour within the hill climb community and was proudly received by Keith. The Audi was shipped to Colorado Springs in both 2018 and 2019, however neither year was to bring fulfilment, with the car overheating in 2018 (subsequently sorted after testing at Blyton Park, pre-COVID) and despite good practice runs in 2019, the clouds closed in on Race Day and that was that. The full story is on YouTube. Whilst intending to return in 2020, COVID regulations, increasing costs and lack of time mean that Keith has sadly made the decision that after 30-plus years, having accomplished everything else, he and his beloved Audi will have to part ways.We understand that the Audi would be welcome again at Pikes Peak with Keith having received another invitation recently or, closer to home, would be welcome here in the UK at club level hill climbs, sprints or even Time Attack. UK-registered and road-legal (subject to a few sensitive modifications) it could be used on the road driving to events, but equally it could just be a perfect showpiece in any serious Collection. This car has been viewed more than 2,000,000 times on YouTube and has been magazine-featured all over the globe. It's accompanied by 18 box files of history, entry forms, programmes, results sheets and 30 years of correspondence, MSA paperwork, log books etc.'Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence' said Vince Lombardi, after whom the Superbowl is named. To suggest that Keith has pursued perfection is no understatement, he has undoubtedly achieved excellence.SpecificationEngine: 2.266-litre, in-line five-cylinder, cast iron block, aluminum cylinder head with four valves per cylinder. A striking homage to the late Sir Stirling Moss' 1955 Mille Miglia-winning #722 Mercedes-Benz. Utilising a glass-reinforced bodyshell over a steel box angle and pipe chassis with a differential axle driven by an electric motor. Most parts are hand-crafted using lathe and mill. The electric motor is equipped with an autobrake system meaning there is only need for one pedal. It has fully functioning lights, indicators and horn with lovely attention to detail on the dashboard including a rather optimistic speedometer reading up to 140kph! There is a switch to control the maximum speed (c.8mph) and the cockpit is finished off with an elegant alloy and wood steering wheel with interior carpet and seating hand crafted by the vendor's wife who is a professional seamstress. The car was a guest at the Hampton Court Palace Junior Concours last year, when the vendor rigged the 300 SLR with a remote control system and their delighted 13-month-old son was driven in the cavalcade! Suitable for a child aged up to around seven years old and measuring 185cm x 75cm.Click here for more details and images
