An unusual vintage 20th Century industrial copper and metal pipe lamp light having a central rustic metal column stem with a series of copper pipes protruding off and connecting back. Shaped cream shades sits atop with connected and raised on a wooden plinth base. Measures approx 103cm x 16cm x 17cm.

The National Portrait Gallery has a pen & ink drawing of Disraeli by or after Daniel Maclise which is almost identical in compostion (NPG 3093). Novelist and statesman Benjamin Disraeli (1803-1881), who served twice as Prime Minister, was famous for his dandyism. Maclise's portrait, with its flamboyant dress style, careless pose, and smoking pipe, portrays him in this guise.

AN 1821/22 PATTERN LIGHT CAVALRY OFFICER'S SWORD, the 33 1/4" pipe backed and spear point blade stamped with broad arrow and maker's mark, steel hilt with folding inner guard, ribbed leather grip and leather scabbard with steel mounts, 38 7/8" long (Est. plus 21% premium inc. VAT)Tight fit in scabbard, two creases to the leather, but no bend. Small areas of leather wear on grip allowing wood to show through. Minor oxidation. But generally good.
