Offset lithograph, screen-print and letterpress in colors on Arches Cover paper. Signed in pencil, dated and numbered. Published by Peterson Press, New York, Sheet size: 38 1/2" x 38 1/2". Framed.
Anglo-Saxon Gilt-Bronze Equal-Arm Brooch with Faces 6th century AD. A cast bow brooch comprising two small triangular plates connected by a shallow bow, catchplate to the reverse, pin-lugs in a ferrous concretion; one plate with a face formed from three pellets within a frame, two further pellets to the angles; the other face formed with two piriform indents and transverse lines beneath. 6.57 grams, 46mm (1 3/4"). Found Gloucestershire, UK, 2014. Recorded with the Portable Antiquities Scheme with reference number GLO-4E0EBD; accompanied by a print out of the PAS report. Very fine condition.
Medieval Bronze 'Raoul of Clermont' Heraldic Horse Harness Mount Circa 1300 AD. A slightly concave cast heater shield-shaped appliqué with raised border, red enamelled field with reserved trefoils and two vertical barbels. 27 grams, 60mm (2 1/2"). From an important collection of horse harness pendants and mounts; property of a Suffolk, UK, gentleman. Accompanied by a print-out of the history of Raoul of Clermont. This has the arms of Clermont Nesle, and was probably produced in France. The same arms appear on the lid of a Nautilus cup, belonging to All Souls College, Oxford, and now on loan to, and displayed in the British Museum. This is usually dated to 1300 and is assigned to Paris. [No Reserve] Fine condition.
Medieval Bronze 'James Stanley' Heraldic Horse Harness Mount 15th century AD. A cast heraldic mount depicting a cock's claw with coronet above, loop to the reverse, attributed to the Bishop of Ely. 23 grams, 64mm (2 1/2"). Private UK collection, by descent from the vendor's father. The eagle’s claw is a Stanley badge. See M. P. Siddons, Heraldic Badges in England and Wales, London 2009, in vol. 11.2, p. 275. See also PAS website recorded in Lincolnshire, January 2014, reference LIN-9190B5. Accompanied by an old print-out of the arms and history of James Stanley (Bishop of Ely"). The cock's claw badge is attributed to James Stanley, Bishop of Ely in the later 15th and early 16th century. Very fine condition.

A cast flat-section harness pendant, heater shield-shaped with low-relief heraldic design of a lion passant above a field of lozenges, blazoned 'fretty on a chief a lion passant gardant' attributed to the Spigurnell family. 5.76 grams, 46mm (1 3/4"). Memorablilia Autograph Letter from General de Brigade Castella to Minister Regnier Dated 13th day of Nivose, year 13 (2nd January, 1805"). A handwritten letter from the Général de Brigade Castella to the Minister of Justice recommending a Monsieur Toulsa, a judge in Gaillac and brother-in-law of Castella, to the position of Juge de Paix (Justice of the Peace) at Rabasteus in the Tarn département; supplied with print-outs concerning the sender and recipient. 35 grams including documentation, 33 x 21.5cm (13 x 8 1/2").
