This print was purchased by the vendor's father c.1973 and has never been framed or exposed to light. It is presented with a mount and the original brown paper which has covered it since its purchase, along with the footnote of purchase price of £66.95 + VAT. (D) CONDITION REPORT: As this has been wrapped in original paper, not framed or exposed to light, it is presented in excellent condition, the colours are remarkable, no foxing, no staining. This print was purchased by the vendor's father in late November 1973 and has never been framed or exposed to light. It is presented with a mount and the original brown paper which has covered it since its purchase, along with the footnote of purchase price of £40 + VAT. (D) CONDITION REPORT: As this has been wrapped in original paper, not framed or exposed to light, it is presented in excellent condition, the colours are remarkable, no foxing, no staining. The left hand edge of the paper has old cellotape along most of it. There is approx 3cm of clear paper between the cellotape and the edge of the image. There is a smudge in the printed "Berwick-upon-Tweed by LS Lowry RA reproduced by permission of Ronald Lyn Esq." at the very bottom of the paper from the "o" of "of" to "n" of "Ronald". There is a tiny mark to the edge of the paper approx 3cm up from the bottom right hand corner. The image is in excellent condition. No marks or scratches. As new. (D) CONDITION REPORT: There is a dirty mark down the right margin but this is on the glass rather than the paper. There is a faded rectangle in the bottom right corner, which does slightly overlap the image. This was probably where there has been a label on the glass previously. There are a few marks that appear to be scratches. However, we think that this is probably an imperfection during the printing process as it looks like they are part of the image. There is a mark on the left hand margin that is on the paper. Cannot be taken out of frame so we cannot tell if the print has been stuck down. Two tone lithograph on creamy paper, not faded.
