Artist: Simon BradleyTitle: Bid this angry tumult cease …….. Size: 29 x 30.5 x 4.5cmMedium: Ink Print on fine Japanese paper 2/5Simon BradleyI have always been drawn to the sea, it contains compelling energy and life - and to journey on it is to take to a different world. My work in Fish Printing, Ceramics, Photography, Paintings and Linocuts explore this journey. Yearly I make a handful of Raku fired ceramics with Sea Weed from the Cove mixed with wood shavings in a cattle trough as a welcoming bed as I remove them from my fierce kiln as the glaze matures. I photograph Fishing, the Sea, the return of Lobsters and Rocklings. I drink rhubarb tea whilst printing fish, linocuting and painting ... and go out on the water to feel the Sea, to Fish, and to be in another world. Artist: Carla ReglerTitle: The Power of the WavesSize: 30 x 40.5 x 2cmMedium: Photograph on baulkCarla ReglerMy interest in photography began in 2010 during a move to Porthleven with my partner to open a new restaurant and it was here that I fell in love with the amazing landscapes, seascapes and wildlife in the area. I have also linked this new interest with my love of horses, having spent my entire life working with these beautiful creatures. Since taking a step back from running the restaurant to pursue a more full time career in photography, I have now opened a Gallery to share my images with customers and clients alike. I work with professional printers, which has enabled me to understand the logistics of getting work to print and displaying it for sale. I have had work published in various magazines and newspapers, as well as online - and in late 2014, I was delighted to hear that my image of Porthleven being battered by the ferocious storms had won the Weather category in the British Life Photography Awards.
