Historical Records of the Buffs, East Kent Regiment, four volumes includes 1914-1919 by Moody, all in vgc blue cloth, gilt, named to member of Regiment and with small framed and glazed coloured print of "A Man of Kent" by Lady Butler, appears in the Great war volume and has been signed by E Butler in 1919.
WW2 Occupation of Jersey Documents & Ephemera, including Wartime newspapers, 1940 registration / identity form, 2x state of Jersey ration books, post cards and envelopes sent to Miss D Joherwood in St Helier Jersey with dated post marks and two re-print photographs of WW2 period. The Channel Islands were occupied by the Third Reich from 30th June 1940 until they were liberated on 9th May 1945.
Interesting Collection of Mixed Ephemera, including Album of letters providing handwritten testimonials to a Robert Bridgewater seeking appointment as a member of the Westminster Abbey Choir, signed letters include one from the Dean of Windsor, G.Wellesley, an respected advisor to Gladstone etc. Also a print and other documents, contained in vellum folder, viewing recommended.
