A good French brass eight-day repeating carriage clock with decorated panels by Achille Brocot, circa 1875, the two-train gong-striking movement with silvered platform lever escapement and push button repeat, the dial with silvered Roman numeral chapter ring and rosette centre within relief electrotype scene of camel caravan at a well finished in silver, gilt and copper, the sides with conforming relief panels, in pillars variant case with Egyptian influence chased columns to corners and leaf panel moulded shaped apron base with pad feet, numbered 443 to underside, 18cm high excluding handle.
