Late 19th / early 20th century French carriage clock with eight day timepiece movement, lever escapement, back plate with stamped trade mark for Francois-Arsene Margaine and white enamel dial with Roman numerals, in a gilt metal case with shaped carrying handle, 17.5cm overall height (key lacking)
Carriage clock to a design by Archibald Knox for Liberty & Co., eight day French movement with fixed winder, peacock blue / green enamel dial with copper chapter ring and black Roman numerals in a pewter case with Art Nouveau-style decoration and top mounted carrying handle, underside stamped '0721', circa 1903, together with a Morocco leather covered case, clock 14cm overall height (2) CONDITION REPORT General overall condition reasonably good. Movement is dirty and we are unable to confirm if it is in full working order. The clock ticks when wound. Movement is seated on a wooden block that may not be original. Enamelling on dial is dirty and is marked around chapter ring. Chapter ring is also marked. Hands are rusty. Pewter case has very dark patina and is slightly scratched on the top. Front glass is cracked

Paris and numbered 5696, the white enamelled dial titled for The Gold and Silversmiths Company and further stamped G.S & Co to the movement, height excluding sway handle 13.5cm.

A French Striking Carriage Clock Margaine, Paris circa 1900. The clock with push button repeat, nr 2574 with retail mark Martin & Fils Paris. The back plate stamped with the beehive trademark for Margaine. Rectangular white enamel Roman numeral dial with blued steel Bregeut hands, housed in the original leather travelling case. Approx 17.5 x 8.5 cms to include the handle.
