An 18th Century Ebonised Carriage Clock. The brass dial having an incised & silvered chapter ring with alarum and pendulum aperture, bordered by gilt brass corner spandrels. The arched top engraved with a sun and the inscription Rise When I Call; London. The movement being spring driven with a crown wheel escapement and a bob pendulum swinging in front of the engraved back plate depicting a phoenix. The ebonised case having a raised caddy top with ornamental scroll carrying handle and four ball finials. Standing on brass squat bun feet. 15 ins (38 cms) high, 9 ins (23 cms) in width, 6 ins (15 cms) depth.
