A large 19th Century gilt brass cased (rubbed) repeater Carriage Clock with alarm mechanism, the cream chapter ring with Arabic numerals, the gilded movement individually numbered 1536 and striking on a single gong, 20cm high (including rigid handle) CONDITION REPORT: This may have been overwound, it appears that the winding key is overwound but the repeat mechanism seems to be in good working order.
A 19th Century French gilt brass cased repeater Carriage Clock with alarm mechanism, white enamel dial (small cracks to top left hand corner) with Roman Numerals and alarm dial, the gilded movement numbered 1055 and striking on two gongs, 12.5cm, with two keys CONDITION REPORT: The watch appears in generally very good overall original condition, the dial looks clean and unrepaired and although not tested fully the watch has been wound and continues to tick well.
A modern gilt brass cased carriage clock by Matthew Norman with eight day hour and half hour striking and hour repeater mechanism, striking on a coiled gong, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, the architectural style case with reeded columns on a deep plinth and pediment with escapement view panel. The face is marked "Matthew Norman, London", the movement marked "11 jewels unadjusted Swiss made movement. Matthew Norman London" and numbered 1751A. In very good working order, no nicks, scratches or other defects noted. 10x8x18.5cm. high, handle raised.
An Unusual Brass Grande Sonnerie Alarm Carriage Clock, circa 1850, case highly elaborate with floral and leaf decoration throughout, carrying handle and repeat button, base with acanthus leaves and leopards upon a central urn, enamel dial with Roman numerals, Breguet style hands, central alarm hand, unusual subsidiary hand below 6 for petite sonnerie/grande sonnerie/silent selections, twin barrel movement wound from the front, platform cylinder escapement stamped on the cock Fumey, striking on two bells, 18cm high over handle. J-M Fumey was a maker of platform escapements in the mid 19th century. In the 1855 Paris Exhibition he was awarded a Bronze medal. 28.04.17, Glass panels with some chips, case surfaces are slightly discoloured in parts, left hand side with one screw missing, dial with one small hairline crack positioned below the left hand side winding hole, small scratches in parts and minor chips around the right hand side winding hole, movement is dirty and needs cleaning, striking barrel mainspring appears to have broken and unable to wind, the going barrel mainspring is fully wound, alarm is working, the strike work is not working and needs attention.
A Brass Oval Striking Carriage Clock, circa 1890, carrying handle, enamel dial with Roman numerals, twin barrel movement with later platform lever escapement, striking on a bell, 19cm high27.09.17, Brass surfaces are discoloured, side glass with scratches, dial with hairline cracks to the top right hand side, movement needs cleaning, later platform escapement.
