A good late 19th century French gilt brass carriage clock with repeat, G.L.C. for Clerke, 1 Royal Exchange, London, the five panel bevelled glass and brass case surmounted by a reeded handle over the ripple moulded cornice and base, the signed silvered Roman dial within a conforming mask, the twin train movement with lever platform escapement, striking the hour and half hour on a gong, inscribed '19 June 1883' to rear of top plate, 6¾in. (7.2cm.) high.
A French gilt brass cased repeating carriage clock with alarm, mid-20th century, the white Roman enamel dial with subsidiary alarm dial to lower section, in plain Boite Jong case with shallow rectangular panels of lapis lazuli inlay to upper and lower borders, on four bun feet, the twin train 11 jewel gong striking repeater movement with alarm, 7¾in. (19.75cm.) high, 3½in. (8.8cm.) wide.
