A fine-quality French brass and glass-sided carriage alarm clock; the white-enamel dial with Roman numerals and signed L'Epee, the gilded movement striking on a gong, with a variety of keys Condition Report - it looks in fairly good overall original condition at first glance with the four glass sides being intact and the oval glass top, the gilding on the brass seems reasonable or there is some minor rubbing and very minor scratching to the plinth-style base etc. Underneath looks clean. Although the correct carriage clock keys are with the clock it does not appear to be working - it may well be over wound and it can't be made to strike as it should do. The movement itself does not look in bad condition. The Auctioneer reports it could probably just do with an overhaul, service and clean.
