An early 20th Century French gilt brass cased carriage clock, with eight day repeating movement striking on a gong, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, the glazed case fitted with a swing handle, on bracket feet, height approx 17.5cm, together with a leather travelling case (faults).
A late 19th Century French brass cased carriage alarm clock with eight day grande and petite sonnerie repeating movement striking on two gongs, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary alarm dial, the four glass gorge case with swing handle, lever for `Grande Sonnerie, Silence and Petite Sonnerie` to underside, height approx 14.5cm.
Henri Jacot a Paris. An Anglaise carriage clock, having an eight day duration movement striking the hours & half hours on a gong with push button repeat, with a later platform lever escapement, the backplate stamped with the trademark & serial number of the maker ‘Henri Jacot, 14752’, with the ‘secret’ Jacot mark stamped between the plates, the cream enamel dial having stylised Arabic numerals within white roundels and decoration to the centre, with blued steel spade hands, contained in a beaded brass Anglaise case, height 19cm. * The Jacot clockmaking firm was one of the most well known and best maker’s of carriage clocks in the Victorian period with an address at 31, Rue de Montmorency, Paris. The first Henri Jacot died in 1868 and was succeeded by his nephew also Henri. They won many medals at exhibitions in both Paris and London including the Gold medal in 1900.
E. White, Paris. A French striking carriage clock, the eight day duration movement striking the hours and half hours on a gong, with push button repeat, the backplate stamped with the serial number ‘3687’, having a white enamel dial with black Roman numerals, blued steel moon hands and signed with the name ‘E. White, Paris. 33 Cockspur Street, London’, contained in a Corniche case, height: 14cm, handle down. * E. White was formerly a foreman with the well-known clockmaking firm Dents before setting-up on his own account in Cockspur Street circa 1865 as both a maker and retailer with a workshop address in Paris.
An Edwardian French carriage clock, having an eight day duration movement with a platform lever escapement and striking the hours on a gong, the ivorine dial with black Roman numerals, blued steel hands and a subsidiary seconds dial having a matt brass mask, contained in a brass Corniche case, height: 13cm, handle down. Contained in a non-original leather case.
A porcelain panelled miniature carriage clock, having an eight day duration timepiece movement with a lever escapement, the engraved Canallee style case having pink porcelain panels painted with females within rural scenes to the sides and back with a similarly decorated dial, height: 8cm, handle down. With original leather case.

An Edwardian French carriage clock, having an eight day duration movement with a cylinder escapement, the Anglaise case having square fluted pillars with repousee friezes to the top and bottom, the dial having an ivorine chapter ring with stylised Arabic numerals and repousee mask, with similar panels to the sides, height: 13.5cm, handle down.
A miniature French carriage clock, the eight day duration movement having a platform lever escapement and striking on a gong with push button repeat, the white enamel dial having black Roman numerals, blued steel spade hands and with the maker’s name ‘Hy Marc a Paris’, contained in a Cannallee style case, height: 10cm, handle down. Contained in a leather travelling case. * Henry Marc is recorded as both a maker & retailer working in Paris in the late 19th Century. The vast amount of clocks seen with this name on them would suggest the firm were in the main retailers with clocks supplied by Japy Freres, amongst others.
An early 20th Century French lacquered and gilt Brass Carriage Alarm Clock, Janetti Padree Figi, the silvered platform escapement to a signed Roman and Arabic enamel dial, with subsidiary alarm at 6, and blued steel dagger hands, in a lacquered gilt case with stylised hinged handle, bevelled large rectangular glass, over fluted columns, height 6 ¼”, together with its original morocco covered outer travel case (ILLUSTRATED INSIDE FRONT COVER)
