An early-20th century burr walnut carriage clock manufactured by Mappin & Webb, the 13.5 cm square brass dial decorated with scrolling acanthus leaves, Roman numerals, the spandrels decorated with raised cherub masks, twin train movement striking on a gong, bracket feet, brass plaque to base inscribed 'Presented to John M. Baggaley by a few friends in recognition of his 37 years service to Baslow. Christmas 1934.'
