An early 20th century gilt metal French mantel timepiece with supporting cherubs, painted panels and ornate scrolling decoration, the circular florally painted dial bearing Arabic numerals, height 21cm, and a small carriage type mantel clock, the circular white enamel dial bearing Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, inscribed "Kendal & Dent, Made Buren", height including handle 12cm (2). CONDITION REPORT: Some of the gilding on the French clock and the enamel to the dial has a chip by the key hole.

A French brass and Serves style porcelain carriage clock, the rectangular case with carrying handle, engraved overall with scrolling foliage, the dial with Roman numeral chapter ring and gilt hands, on floral enamel grounds, with conforming decorated side panels, 12.4cm high CONDITION REPORT: back plate stamped with e cicrled B, movement possibly by Japy Freres, metal work a little faded, areas of rubbing, gilding loses to porcelain

Maurice & Co, Paris, a Gothic mantel clock: the eight-day duration movement having a replaced platform lever escapement and striking the hours and half-hours on a gong, the backplate stamped with the trademark of the maker E. Maurice & Co, Paris and numbered 5596, the cast-brass Gothic style case with embossed decoration to the front and stylised Arabic numerals to the ivorine plaques, surmounted by a brass carrying handle, height 25cm, including handle. *Biography E. Maurice & Co are recorded as working at Rue Charlot 75, Paris and showed carriage clocks at the 1889 Paris Exposition. They used Ernest Pitcher of E. Pitcher & Co, London as their sole importers into the country and were succeeded by Blanpain, who had originally shared premises with another fine Parisian carriage clock maker, Pierre Drocourt.
