Late nineteenth century French carriage clock with eight day repeat movement, with lever escapement, striking on a gong, in a brass case with central carrying handle and blue enamel and gilt decorated porcelain side panels, blue and gilt porcelain dial with white chapter ring and Arabic numerals, signed - Thos. Russell & Sons, Paris, 16.5cm overall height including handle CONDITION REPORT General overall condition good. No signs of major damage to side panels but they are scratched and gilding is worn. No signs of repair. Dial appears to be in good condition, escapement is discoloured. Case is dirty and one retaining screw in base is missing, therefore top is loose in one corner. We are unable to confirm if the movement is in full working order
