A late 20c striking carriage clock retailed by Garrard & Co, the movement by Epee and having a rectangular white dial with Roman numerals, outer five minute figures and moon hands. The movement has a lever platform escapement and strikes the hours and halves on a gong. It is contained in a glazed brass 'corniche' style case with cast handle, 7in tall with handle raised.

Mid 19th Century French brass-cased carriage clock circa 1845, the white Roman dial with Breguet moon hands, the two-train bell-striking movement with club-toothed lever platform escapement in the manner of Jules or Bolviller, indistinctly stamped 'A Paris' to lower right of back plate, in a foliage-engraved multi-piece case with bevelled glazing, 15cm high excluding handle Condition: Dial appears sound but dial and frame are off-set as if clock has previously been dropped, flake impact chips to one upper and lower corner of front glass, case would benefit from tightening, no outer travel box, movement not tested and sold as seen - **General condition consistent with age
