A Brass Oval Shaped Strike and Repeat Alarm Carriage Clock, circa 1880, case elaborately engraved throughout with scroll decoration, carrying handle and repeat button, enamel dial with Roman numerals, alarm dial, engine turned surrounding dial mask, twin barrel movement with a platform lever escapement and striking on a bell, movement backplate numbered 1775 152, original key numbered 1775 15218cm high over handleBrass surfaces are discoloured, bevelled glass panels with no chips or cracks, glass panels with minor scratches in parts, enamel dials are clean, movement is dirty and needs cleaning, movement is fully wound and not working, movement has the original platform escapement.
A good quality 19th century French carriage clock: the cream chapter-ring with Arabic numerals; the case with foliate decorated top and bottom borders; the gilded movement striking on a gong (13 cm high including swing-handle). Together with key and £295 April 2021 invoice for full service detailing the clock movement dismantled, cleaned and re-assembled.

The other Asprey carriage clock ticks on winding, with few small marks to case and loss to lacquer, dial intact, glass intact. The third clock ticks on winding. some wear to polis/ lacquer, dial and glass panels intact. no striking mechanism in either clock.

The clock having a white enamel face with Roman dial above a subsidiary alarm dial, brass twin drum movement with jewelled platform lever escapement, striking and chiming on a coiled gong, approx 13h x 8.5 cms, complete with winding key.
