A VICTORIAN ENGRAVED GILT-BRASS EIGHT-DAY STRIKING & REPEATING CARRIAGE CLOCK, by Dent. No. 4137, the 1?” white enamel dial signed “Exc. By DENT”, with Roman numerals & Arabic subsidiary seconds below, twin-barrel movement, strike-repeat on a bell, bevelled glazed panels to all sides & silvered platform lever escapement, all-over floral-scroll decoration; 3?” high x 3¼” wide x 2¾” deep.
Richard & Co., for Frisch Schiewater & Co., Liverpool, a large brass repeating carriage clock, the signed white enamel dial with Roman numerals, the French made movement, signed with makers mark and numbered 236, striking the hours and half on a gong, 14cm, key and carry case. Works for a while then stops, the striking is fine but a bit slow. Screw missing from the lower door panel.
Matthew Norman 1751, London, a Grand Corniche brass alarm/striking/repeating carriage clock, model 1751/6725, white enamel dial with Roman numerals, the 11 jewel unadjusted movement numbered 038, striking the hours and halfs on a gong, 14cm, key, guarantee book, dated 1983, original book box. Working order when catalogued but striking out of cinque, gong needs minor adjustment, case needs a polish, bottom pin of door missing

Rare and unusual French carriage clock striking on a bell, the dial and movement back plate both signed Hy Marc á Paris, within a rosewood stepped case surmounted by a bevelled glazed window and carrying handle, 9.5" high (keys) * this lot is sold with an insurance valuation from Heritage Restoration Ltd dated 11th August 1984 for £2500. There are also some old service papers included too.
