Drocourt, Paris, a petite-sonnerie corniche cased carriage clock: the eight-day duration movement striking the hours on a gong and the quarters on two-gongs and having a replaced platform lever escapement with alarm, the backplate stamped with the Drocourt trademark of, the initials DC either side of a clock and serial number 20394, the inside of the plates stamped with a further Drocourt trademark and blanc roulant number 6077, the white enamel dial with black Roman numerals, Arabic outer numerals, blued steel hands (hour hand replaced) and a subsidiary alarm dial, with an engraved gilt-brass mask, the brass corniche case having a five-bail handle and stamped to the underside with a repeat of the serial number, along with a lever for 'strike/silent', height 17cm handle up, 13.5cm handle down. * Biography Pierre Drocourt, born 1819, founded the Drocourt clock making business in Paris in 1853 with his son Alfred, born 1847, taking over in 1872. The blanc roulants to the clocks were made at their workshops in Saint-Nicolas-d'Aliermont, a town outside of Dieppe, before being finished at the workshops in Paris at Rue Debelleyme 28, previously rue Limoges.

A late 19th Century French engraved gilt brass cased carriage clock with push button repeat, the enamelled dial with Roman numerals inscribed with retailer's name "Parkinson & Frodsham, Change Alley, Cornhill, London", 12.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Some scuffs and scratches throughout. Some small knocks to edges of the brass. Some scratches to the glass. The wording to the dial is quite faint. It is not known whether or not the clock is in working order.

Drocourt of Paris; a mid 19th century brass eight day carriage clock, the enamel dial set with Roman numerals and inscribed 'Army and Navy C.S.L.', height 15cm. CONDITION REPORT The top left bottom left and top right corners there is some cracking to the enamel dial and the back door has some chipping to the bottom edge of approx 1.5cm, was working when tested but no guarantee of long term functionality, balance wheel moving freely, small fracture to glass back door. Serial no. 13273 to inside back door.
