Late 19th century French carriage clock in gilt brass case ,silvered and gilt dial striking on gong , key present 17.5 cm high Provenance: Property of a Lady, removed from a Hertfordshire Country EstateCondition report: General overall condition good. Movement is clean and appears to work although we have not had it going for any length of time- strike does not work. Escapement may be a replacement. Case is good, some wear to gilding, dial very good, no visible damage. Gong is rusting in places. Key present but does not fit.
A vintage brass chiming carriage clock, the face marked Camerer Cuss & Co. London, the movement marked France, enamel face with floral garland (the clock winds and runs but requires some attention), 6" high not including handle (has a bruise to enamel above the II visible only with door open)
A Late 19th/early 20th century French gilt metal carriage clock with integrated thermometer and compass to the top. The dial having a silvered chapter ring with Arabic numerals and visual escapement, the thermometer inscribed 'Reaumur Fahrenheit', the case having Corinthian columns with carrying handle to the top, the movement striking on a gong, 24 h x 15 cm wide Condition report: ticks and stops, needs service (the hands are in the wrong position), it strikes on quarter past and parter to, doesn't strike at the hour or half hour. There is a heavy scratch to the glass front, nicks and surface scratches to case.
A 20th Century continental bronze cased carriage clock of decorative rectangular form. The moulded and worked bronze case with floral and swallow decoration throughout with a swing carrying handle atop. Thick beveled glass panels throughout housing the brass movement and the white enamel face having a Roman numeral chapter ring with Arabic numeral ring below. Raised on a decorative base with swallows, roses and scroll work. Measures 16cm x 12cm x 11cm.
