The enamel dial is clean and well defined and the hands would appear original. The movement is clean and would appear in working order but the platform has been replaced in recent years. It is complete with a brass double ended key which is not original to the clock.The casing itself is of a good quality gorge style with gilding and enamel in green and white. However this is worn and rubbed at highlights and enamelling has lost the colour on some of the petals and leaves.Otherwise this is a good quality carriage clock.
An antique repeating carriage clock, the white enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, with glazed open top, back and sides, twin drum movement, carry handle to top, in red leather open fronted case, 14cm high x 9cm wide x 8cm deep CONDITION REPORT: Lot 303 - chip to glass bottom right hand corner, and shatter to glass on right hand side, small but of coper wiring holding hands together, scratches to metalwork and slight dint across top where handle lies, unsure if works as no key, but does chime occasionally when being handled, case has wear to leather, scratches and peeling
