"In 1988, 15 years after founding Comme des Garçons, Rei Kawakubo launched Six Magazine. A biannual publication, it featured visual elements with only a few bits of writing included. Working with designer Tsuguya Inoue and editor Atsuko Kozasu, Kawakubo published a total of eight issues, each release coinciding with the launch of Comme des Garçons’ latest collection. The format of the magazine-oversize unstapled pages-gave prominence to the artwork of contributors including Bruce Weber, Kishin Shinoyama, Gilbert & George and Minsei Tominaga. Now collectors’ items, the issues are considered by many to be aesthetic treasures. Kawakubo maintained that she pulled inspiration only from her own imagination in all of her work, hence Six Magazine is not a mere catalogue of references but a testament to the impact that Kawakubo and Comme des Garçons have had on fashion and the wider world. 18K White gold cross pendant with rose cut diamond. Set with 32 rose cut diamonds, of which a central diamond approx. Ø 3.23 mm (I1-I2 / J-K) with step cut synthetic sapphires at the ends as a contrast. In good condition. Hallmarks: 750 Dutch assay mark. L x W: 5.6 x 4.1 cm. Weight: 7.13 grams.

14K Yellow gold enamelled entourage ring with emerald and diamond. One square step cut emerald of approx. 0.44 ct. (4.11 x4.48 x 3.78 mm), eight rose cut diamonds set in foil in a closed setting. Shin is partly ajour cut. Hallmarks: 750 Dutch assay mark. In good condition. Ring Size: 17.25mm / 54mm. Weight: 4.81 grams.

Platinum Art Deco brooch set with approx. 0.88 ct. diamond and sapphire. With five old European cut diamonds of 0.15 ct. and 0.12 ct. (SI / G-H) and 33 single cut diamonds (SI-I / G-H) with a total weight of approx. 0.90 ct. and six step cut synthetic sapphires. In good condition. Hallmarks: PT900 and 750 Dutch assay mark, pin is 18K. L x W: 4.7 x 1.5 cm. Weight: 5.50 grams.

An antique mahogany step commode, with inset leather panels. 50x78x76cm. Fair used condition. Middle drawer pulls forward and has lifting lid, and there is a cupboard to the top step, the door of which has no screws in the top hinge, and some areas of veneer loss. Both rear feet have been repaired. Some signs of historic worm. No fittings. Raised gallery top not original.
