The second records the festivities held at the Palazzo del Senato in Milan to celebrate the Peace of Vienna and the triumphant return to Milan of Napoleon’s step-son, Eugène de Beauharnais (1781-1824), then ruling in Lombardy and Venice as Napoleon’s viceroy.
