[Ephemera] Gerry Schum, Identifications (1) Comprises a VHS tape of the video program curated by Schum for Sonsbeek 71, and the Sonsbeek catalogue listing the program. The videos were presented in an inflatable pavilion in the garden of the Gemeentemuseum Arnhem.The Sony VHS cassette derives from the Sonsbeek 71 organization and is labeled 'Gerry Schum, Identifications, 1970, 36'30''.Featured are Stanley Brouwn taking one step with the camera at the Dam in Amsterdam, Ger van Elk shaving a cactus, Serra's 'Hand Catching Lead', Pierpaolo Calzolari attempting to fly, Mario Merz making a collaborative drawing with a snail. Other contributors are Gilbert & George, Ruthenbeck, Rinke, Rückriem, Fulton, Anselmo, Boetti, De Dominicis and Zorio. Missing on this tape are the last 4 pieces by Walther, Weiner, Smithson/Holt and Sonnier. The tape is intact. (2) Sonsbeek 71, Part 2. Arnhem, Stichting Sonsbeek, 1971. A late 19th to early 20th Century French variegated marble and spelter clock garniture, the clock in a barrel form case surmounted by a basket of flowers with seated female figure beside, with eight day Japy Freres movement, together with a pair of classical twin handled urns decorated with amorini, on square step bases, height of urns 38cm, S/D. Patrick Duffy (born March 17, 1949) is an American actor and director widely known for his role on the CBS primetime soap opera Dallas, where he played Bobby Ewing, the youngest son of Miss Ellie, and the nicest brother of J.R. Ewing (played by Barbara Bel Geddes and Larry Hagman respectively) from 1978 to 1985 and from 1986 to 1991. Duffy returned to reprise his role as Bobby in a continuation of Dallas, which aired on TNT from 2012 to 2014. He is also well known for his role on the ABC sitcom Step by Step as Frank Lambert from 1991 to 1998, and for his role as Stephen Logan on the CBS daytime soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful (2006-2011). The seaside itself held a particular draw for Lowry and he visited with regularity throughout his life, starting with holidays to Lytham St Anne's and Rhyl in North Wales as a young boy and then into his retirement. Indeed, some of the earliest known works created are drawings of the coast and in particular the sailing boats and yachts that fascinated him upon the water. Whilst not a sailor himself, his depictions of the nautical world show an affinity and quiet understanding of it, as can be observed in the present work. Boats at Rhyl is a relatively early drawing, having been executed in 1926, at a time when the resort was quieter than the bustling post-war years of heavy tourism that would follow. This is reflected in the absence of figures around the harbour and the sense of calm that pervades the entire scene. Costumers followed detailed instructions to help get actor Anthony Daniels into his C-3PO costume.This lot comes from the collection of the film's advertising and publicity supervisor Charles "Charley" Lippincott. The photocopied packet consists of 19 stapled pages of photographs and 13-step instructions for putting on the costume. This vintage document features a blue-stamp seal reading "Charles Lippincott Used this item Marketing & Promoting Star Wars"; this stamp is authenticated with Bumpy Lippincott's mark and was applied to verify this item as part of Lippincott's archive prior to its sale.
