A pair of white metal mounted elephant tusk wine coolers, early 20th Century, each ivory body applied with a white metal rim flanked by a pair of elephant mask and ring handles, one with rim inscribed `Presented to Major WM. Forrest, D.S.O. 3rd Welsh Regt. with an illuminated address by the inhabitants of Prieska, Cape Colony in appreciation of his valuable services as Commandant of the District, Sept. 1900 - Nov. 1901`, the tusk incised initials `T.J`, each supported by three downswept tusks united by a ring stretcher, the white metal mounts marked with two stars, height approx 59.5cm.
