IMPORTANTE SCULPTURE d`une Sainte en bois sculpté polychrome. Cette belle sculpture est représentée debout tenant de sa main droite le pan de sa robe et le livre Saint de la main gauche. Elle est vêtue d`une robe à taille haute et à plis verticaux. Au-dessus une grande cape est posée sur ses épaules et tombe jusqu`au sol. Elle ne porte pas de voile sur la tête et ses cheveux ondulés se partagent de chaque côté du visage en tombant sur l`arrière. Au sommet du crâne elle est coiffée d`un chignon rond. Ses vêtements sont animés de nombreux plis gothiques à bec et à enroulements. Cette belle sculpture qui allie élégance, grâce et douceur est très certainement d`origine Champenoise, vers 1500. HAUT. 79 cm

Il est représenté debout le pied droit reposant sur un rocher légèrement en arrière, les deux bras écartés, l`un vers le bas, l`autre vers le haut et regardant sur sa gauche vers le bas. Il est habillé à la romaine avec un décolleté en forme de rectangle, la tête coiffée d`un casque à deux plumes avec une cape sur l`épaule gauche qui tourne autour du corps. L`armure et le casque sont dorés et gravés de motifs floraux. Il repose sur un rocher posé sur un socle constitué d`une imitation de pierres accumulées. Espagne fin du XVIe siècle. (Manque la majorité des doigts des mains). HAUT. 120 cm

Under the command of the celebrated Captain Josiah Cressy, in 1854 Flying Cloud ran from New York to San Francisco around Cape Horn in a record 89 days and 8 hours.
