A COLLECTION RELATIING TO THE DUKE OF ALBANYS 72ND HIGHLAND REGIMENT AND LIEUTENANT JAMES ROBERT KINDAHL, comprising: a Black Feather Busby; a silver engraved crossplate with Hindoostan battle honour, centred with coloured stone and with inscription 'HINDOOSTAN' & 'CAPE OF GOOD HOPE'; a giltmetal and leather mounted officers dirk; an Queen's India medal and miniature with central India bar and documents relating to the allocation of prize money for Lieutenant Kindahl's involvement in the capture of Kotah, during the Indian Mutiny of 1857, and also a copy of his will. Kindahl died in India and is buried at Mhow.
