Pablo Picasso was noted world-wide for his skills as a painter, sculptor, and printmaker, among other things. Regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, he is known for his role in founding the Cubist movement. This is an original single- sided lithograph he did in black ink for a book about bullfighting (Toreros). The lithograph is titled “Jeu de la Cape “ and dated June 3, 1961 (6.3.61 III) in the margin on the lower left, and the drawings for the book were printed by the Mourlot Studios in Paris. The plate was professionally cleaned by Cristian Stakenborg of Stakenborg Galleries in Sarasota. The mat is 15 x 20 in. wide and the plate size is 9 5/8 x 12 1/2 in. wide.
