ARTS AND CRAFTS: A SILVERED COPPER AND ENAMEL BASIN, of circular form with a central raised circular section mounted with an enamel boss, decorated with a lion against a blue enamel ground, within a border of stylised trees, the rim with a motto `The fruits of labour are the sweetest`, 14"" wide. A Royal Worcester Holly Ribbons dinner service, comprising fourteen dinner plates, eighteen medium plates, twelve small plates, eight soup bowls, nine dessert bowls, twelve mugs, twelve saucers, sauce boat with stand, jug, three serving dishes (various), ashette and sugar basin (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This dinner service is generally in extremely good condition. None of the pieces are chipped, repaired, restored or damaged. The service has clearly had very little use. There is some minor rubbing to the gilding on approximately eight pieces but this is not significant. There are also slight variations in the colour of the ribbons. A number of pieces are a shade paler than the majority. In our opinion, some of the pieces are likely to be seconds but the majority are first quality. Every piece has made in England on the back stamp.
A collection of brass copper and pewter, comprising rectangular planished plate, length 14 ins, two circular copper plaques, diameter 12.5 ins, planished pewter plate, diameter 10 ins, embossed copper shallow bowl, diameter 10 ins, two copper plaques, each diameter 8.25 ins, and a pewter sugar basin and cream jug.
An Arts and Crafts green toilet jug and basin. Condition Report: A few small chips to the glaze of the jug, most to the rim of the base (perhaps during firing) but one to the top rim approximately 1.5mm in size; A few larger chips to the base of the bowl with a couple of smaller ones to the top rim; Discolouration to areas of the middle of the bowl.
A Minton Haddon Hall pattern bone china dinner service, comprising twelve dinner plates, twelve 27 cm plates, twelve 20 cm plates, eighteen 16 cm side plates, twelve soup bowls, sauce boat and stand, two lidded tureens, oval serving platter, eighteen saucers, eighteen cups, two sugar basins, two cream jugs, sandwich plate, teapot, five condiments, two small dishes and cocktail stick holder (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This service is in generally extremely good order. It has clearly seen very little use. All items are in first class condition with no damage, repair or restoration other than one 7 inch plate has a small under edge chip. A sugar basin has a hairline crack. Both pepperettes are cracked. Two tea cups have slight staining to the interior. The stains look like hairline cracks but may not be.
A Victorian rose patterned part tea service, teapot, sugar basin, milk jug, plate, six cups and six saucers. CONDITION REPORT: The teapot has a small hairline crack running across the top to the left of the gilt terminal. This is just visible. The inside edge of the teapot aperture has a small semicircular hairline crack and there is a further hairline crack running half way round the base of the teapot just above the foot rim. There are no losses and no chips. The cream jug and sugar basin are in good order as are the six saucers. One teacup has a small outside edge chip just below the gilding, one has been broken and riveted, one is a little stained to the interior and one has a very small hairline crack around the top rim.
A Belleek first period three piece tea service. Teapot width 17 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The teapot is in generally good order with no repairs or restoration. There is no damage, however there is a firing mark where the birds neck joins the teapot body. This takes the form of a clean 1 cm long incision. This does not go through to the interior of the teapot and is simply a firing mark. The lid is in good order. The cream jug is in good condition with no issues. The sugar basin base is in good order. The lid is also in good condition with no issues.
