A fine 19th century French gilt bronze and marble mantel clock. Surmounted with the figure of a maiden and Cupid with a jug and wash basin, raised on a breakfront plinth with a Classical style frieze depicting musical putti. Housing an eight day cylinder movement with anchor escapement striking half hourly on a bell, stamped Japy Freres & Cie. With enamel convex dial decorated with coloured flower swags, having Arabic numeral minute and hour markers and marked R. A. 45.5cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Mounts slightly loose. Minimal nibbles to the edges of the marble plinth. Dial in good clean condition. Sold with pendulum. Running. No key.

Three fossil hadrosaur Charonosaurus eggs on matrix, from Xixia basin, Henan Province, China, retaining evidence of the original leathery surface. 6 kg, 27cm (10 1/2"). Fine condition. UK art market, acquired prior to 1980. The hadrosaurs are known as the duck-billed dinosaurs, due to the similarity of their heads to those of modern ducks. In addition to the duck bill, Charonosaurus also had a large head crest.
