A George III Gillows style rectangular washstand, with folding top, cupboard and single drawer modelled as two, raised on legs of square section. Width 35 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The washstand is in generally very good condition. The top closes as it should and is not warped. The hinges are original. The sides of the washstand have stress fractures to the panels running from front to back. There is a stress fracture above the top dummy drawer and a further one across the panel of the cupboard. The cupboard and drawer fronts are otherwise in very good order and the handles are original. The legs have no repairs. The piece could be used or resold in its current state without the need for any work. The basin is modern. The two blue & white dishes are both Victorian but do not match and are unlikely to be original.

A Regency silver tea pot, by Crispin Fuller, London 1811; together with similar jug and basin by CB London 1810 having silver handles, 1142g. Condition Report: Stands firm Gilt interiors worn. Minor denting and surface scratching to bodies. Handle firm, ivory insulators in place but cracked. Finial slightly bent. Teapot (R), others (Q). No engraving seen. Hallmarks slightly rubbed, especially the teapot.
