Condition Report: Some scratching to landscape, wear and rubbing to gilding, some scratching and pitting to glaze. Stable chip to footrim.

A Derby circular slop basin, pattern 119, the apricot ground reserved with a deep band of gilt tears within a Vandyke border, the rim gilt with linked ovals enclosed by gilt lines, 19.1cm diam, 8.1cm high, decorator's mark numbered 2 for Joseph Stables in puce, crown, crossed batons and D mark and inscribed Duesbury/Derby in puce, MS, collector's note to base, c.1795 This is a rare and unusual mark. Condition Report: Slop basin and fluted saucer dish good with just some expected wear and light manufacturing blemishes. Sucrier repaired and circular saucer dish restored.
A New Hall slop basin, pattern 208, painted in colourful tones with shells and stylized foliage, 15.5cm diam, c.1810; another, pattern 434, 15.5cm diam, c.1800; a Worcester Barr Flight Barr coffee cup, decorated in iron red and gilt with a frieze of anthemions, scrolling loop handle, 6cm high, impressed marks, c.1810; a Royal Worcester Aesthetic Movement coffee cup, decorated in raised tooled gilding with fern fronds, gilt dentil rim, branch handle, 6.6cm high, turquoise printed marks and numbered 75; etc (5) Condition Report: First slop basin with some wear and discoloured crazing. The other cracked twice. Flight Barr cup with surface wear and some refreshed gilding. Aesthetic Movement can crazed with stable hairline, some further light wear. Worcester cup restored.

A closely related example can be seen in the Leeds Collection of eighteenth century English furniture at Temple Newsam House in Yorkshire.

A rare and impressive silver-and brass-inlaid alloy bidri basin Deccan, Second half of the 17th centuryof deep octagonal form, with everted concave sides, the interior decorated in silver inlay with a repeat design of floral sprays, the interstices with chinese-style cloud motifs, the well with a roundel enclosing a flowerhead to centre, with borders of stylised vegetal motifs, the exterior decorated with brass inlay with a repeat design of boteh motifs, with arcade design above and scrolling border below 36 cm. diam.
