Aufschriften und Signatur des Künstlers: "Die rechte Methode Kinder zu lehren. Zu Frühlingsbeginn im wushen-Jahr der Ära Guangxu (1908) für den ehrenwerten Herrn Chengjiang gemalt. Der jüngere Freund Liang Shiqiao." Insgesamt fünf verschiedene Siegel des Künstlers: "Siegel des Liang Yao" (Liang Yao zhi zhang), "Shiqiao" u.a. Provenienz: Aus einer alten deutschen Privatsammlung, in den 1980er Jahren erworben - Publ. in der Zeitschrift 'Dimensions', April 1989, Cover und S. 69 - Altersspuren Liang Yao, Ladies Enjoying Pleasures in the Garden, China, dated 1908. Set of four paintings, framed under glass, each 134 x 38 cm, ink and colors on paper. Each painting with inscription by the artist, one with signature: "The right method to teach children. In the beginning of spring in the wushen year of the Guangxu period (1908) painted for the honorable friend Chengjiang. Younger friend Liang Shiqiao." Altogether five different seals of the artist: "Seal of Liang Yao" (Liang Yao zhi zhang), "Shiqiao" etc. The set seems to illustrate enjoyments of ladies through the four seasons. In spring the chasing of butterflies, in summer teaching children, in autumn watching the moon in a water basin and in winter looking through the window onto the bamboo in deep snow. Fine paintings in the typical style of the time. Hand-washing basin narcissus in green ceramic, likely Song Dynasty. The basin is oval, with the oblique and thin sides and four legs in the shape of cloud. It is entirely covered by a bright light green lacquering. During cooking, the piece was supported by 6 small underlying supports, which at the end of production remained creamy and without laccatura.H cm 7. Length 23.4 cm. Depth cm 16.
