Beatles interest - Signed George Harrison photograph and two other photos of Louise and Harry Harrison c1963, George photo 9.1cm x 9.1cmProvenance - As a teenager the vendor wrote fanmail to George Harrison. Louise Harrison (Georges Mother) received the majority of his fan mail and was known to personally respond to many letters. On this occasion on hearing of the vendors location of Preston Lancashire, she asked the vendor to check in with an elderly family member who lived in Preston and to ask him to get in touch with Louise. The vendor visited as requested and was rebuffed at the door. As thanks for carrying out this request, Louise Harrison sent the vendor the photograph of George with autograph and two other family photos. They have been assessed as secretarial by the Beatles signatures specialist Roger Epperson.

The Beatles Bulletin Hard Days Night special to members script produced exclusively for members of the USA Fanclub in 1964 to coincide with the release of the Band's first film in America and containing excerpts from the script and stills of The Beatles in black and white, accompanied by a re-print of the programme of events for the St Peter's Church fete that took place on July 6th 1957 and marked the first time that Paul McCartney was introduced to John Lennon who was performing there with his skiffle group, The Quarrymen and a Beatles jigsaw puzzle featuring the covers of many of their albums, (qty) The bulletin is in good condition with some rusting around the staples but no detached pages and minimal creasing or storage damage with some notation added in pencil to folios adding where songs were used or performed in the film with the reciprocates address label still attached to the back page, the jigsaw is factory sealed and unused with the programme being a modern replica of what is reputed to be the original.

Three Beatles related items including a concert ticket for The Beatles show on Tuesday November 26th 1963 for the 8.30pm set which took place at the Regal Cinema accompanied by a copy of the Cambridge Varsity Newspaper from Saturday November 30th covering their visit, a copy of the set list and a write up of the show and a copy of the LWT brochure produced to coincide with the broadcast of the Anthology, (3) The ticket is in reasonable condition and is lettered REGAL CAMBRIDGE 2nd Performance 8.30, TUESDAY NOVEMBER 26TH, CENTRE STALLS W32 No tickets exchanged or refunded TO BE RETAINED and the newspaper has folds and age related wear and tear with the Anthology brochure being in good condition. The ticket bears no mention of the artists, but the dates and venue are correct for what was the 21st concert of the tour with records showing that there were over 4000 fans.

The Beatles- Let it Be and John Lennon- Imagine vinyl albums Let it Be is a first pressing matrix number  A-YEX-773-3U, B- YEX-774-3U in a fully laminated cover with the Apple logo in green on the back and its original inner sleeve and Imagine is also a first pressing matrix number A- YEX-865-1U and B- YEX- 866-1U in a fully laminated cover and with its original inner sleeve. The playing surface of both albums' vinyl is seemingly in very good condition with little evidence of any significant marks and scratches with both covers being generally good with some creasing and light storage related wear and Imagine comes without its original enclosures.

All four signatures of The Beatles  signed on one piece of paper by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr in pen, measuring 6.5 x 7.5in. and mounted behind UV glass and in a frame measuring 12.5 x 13.5in. and accompanied by an original copy of the Magical Mystery Tour EP, (2) The autographs are clear, strong and legible and come with a letter of authentication obtained by the vendor a number of years ago by from, specialists Cooper Owen with the EP cover being in good condition with a few laminate creases and the vinyl showing some light marks and hairline scratches.   The autographs were obtained by the vendor's sister on July 23rd 1963, the second date of a six night residency at the Odeon cinema, Weston Super Mayer where she worked at the time, with the vendor being ill in bed with Chicken Pox and seemingly being unable to attend, a fact that thankfully changed by the last date when she was well enough to attend the final night!       All glass will be removed from framed and glazed items prior to posting and may result in delays to shipping your items. (This service is included in the cost of postage and packing). We can also totally remove all framing and mounts upon request to reduce shipping costs. Alternatively, lots can be collected in person by prior appointment from NN8 1RT.

Four Classic Albums from the 1960s and 70s comprising of an early 1980's re-issue of The Beatles' White Alb um, Led Zeppelin 2, Fleetwood Mac- Rumours and Pink Floyd- The Wall, (4) The White album is a side loading copy with no serial number embossed on the front and no poster or portrait picture enclosed, Led Zeppelin 2 is an early 1980's Canadian pressing, Rumours and mid 1980's pressing and The Wall also from the 1980's. The vinyl on all is visibly good with some inner sleeve marks on Led Zeppelin 2 and a slight light mark on record 1 side 2 of The Wall, and overall this is a very nice quartet of some fine albums that are, despite their age, ideal copies to play and enjoy as opposed to purely keep in any collection.

Four Beatles Corgi Album die cast collectable Help, Revolver, Sgt Pepper, and Abbey Road Taxis in original boxes, (4) All four collectables are in good condition with the packaging showing little if any signs of damage or general wear with the blister on the Sgt Pepper being slightly detached from the card and Abbey Road showing slight creasing to the back of its card.        The series was produced to commemorate the releases of classic albums from the Fab Four with Help! being the first of these for on August 6th 1965, Revolver on August 5th 1966, Sgt Pepper on June 1st 1967 and Abbey Road on 26th September 1969.

Three classic Beatles albums from the DeAgostini stereo collection including Help, Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and Abbey Road, all are pressed on 180g vinyl and were released as part of a series of all their career albums complete with a magazine relating to the album in question, (3) All three are sealed copies and the packaging is complete on Help, Sgt Pepper is torn at the bottom and Abbey Road has had the packaging removed, but is still in its shrink wrap.

The Beatles' Abbey Road album first pressing from 1969 matrix number A- YEX 749-2 , B- YEX 750-1 ,dark green apple label, "An EMI recording" is to the left hand side and "Her Majesty" is not listed as a track on side 2, the  front cover has the drain visible on the crossing in the iconic photograph and on the reverse the Apple logo is aligned to the text and, once again, "Her Majesty" is not listed in the track running order. Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band is a reissue c 1981, 2x EMI box matrix number YEX 637-1 side A, YEX 638-2 side B and has its original inserts.     The Abbey Road cover is in overall very good condition with minor evidence of shelf and age related wear and has 3/6 written in small figures and blue pen to the top right of the front, the vinyl has a nice sheen to it with a few very minor hairline scratches on side 1 and side 2 with both showing some finger marks and it plays through very well with minimal crackle or disturbance and no jumps or skips. The Sgt Pepper cover is in nice condition with very minor evidence of shelf or age related wear and the vinyl is in excellent condition with minimal marks or hairline scratches  

Lot 129

The Beatles - Rubber Soul album, Parlophone records PMC 1267 Mono 1965, Matrix number XEX579-4 second pressing The vinyl is in excellent, condition with just a few light marks and age related wear that do not affect the quality of playback, there is some evidence of foxing on the label, but with minimal signs of spindle wear. The cover has some tearing to the bottom right opening and and the bottom of the back is showing signs of tape repair along with some slight marks to the top at the side of the MONO lettering and overall there is evidence of age related shelf wear.

Lot 201

The Beatles- Please Please Me Parlophone Records mono pressing matrix number XEX-421-1N vinyl album which is a 1963, first black and gold label issue with "recording first published 1963" in small lettering below the XEX 421 code to the left as opposed to the "sold in the UK" variant, Aldon Music appears as Aldon Mus. on label and Ambassador Music Ltd. appears as Ambassador Mus. Ltd. on label, the cover has the Angus McBean photograph credit in the bottom right corner of the cover and accompanied by a copy of Woman's Realm from July 1965 with a feature on The Beatle, their wives and girlfriends with a colour cover shot of Paul McCartney and Jane Asher plus a number of band related press cuttings from the period.      The cover is in good condition with a little creasing coming out from the spine and a small amount of edge wear on the corners and a collector number 15 has been stuck to the top right, the back is lovely and clean with some evidence of the tape used to fix the number evident in the top corner and some folding damage to the flip back at the bottom. The vinyl is bright, displaying hairline scratches and marks with some evidence of ring wear, but it plays through very well with bright sound and no skips, but a touch of background crackle in places.                   

Lot 6

The Beatles Corgi collection Magical Mystery Tour bus, Yellow Submarine and AEC Liverpool Routemaster  in original boxes with both buses being sealed and Yellow Submarine having being opened. All three collectables are in superb condition with the packaging showing little if any signs of damage or wear.     

Lot 125

The Beatles - Please Please Me album, Parlophone Records PMC 1202, 1963, matrix number XEX 421-1N, second pressing with Northern Songs credit for "I Saw Her Standing There", "Misery" and "Do You Want to Know a Secret?" with Ernest J Day printer credit of the back of the sleeve to the right and large MONO in the top right hand corner on the cover and Angus Bean photographic credit in the bottom right. The vinyl shows light marks and hairline scratches, but plays through very well with no skips or sticks. The cover is splitting slightly in the bottom right corner and there is some water damage on the back and to the bottom, along with storage and age related marks and it has its original inner sleeve.  This is from the second pressing of the Beatles' debut album, and it is believed there were approximately 12,000 originally issued.            

Lot 209

Four North American original album releases by The Beatles on Capitol and United Artists records including early pressings of Meet the Beatles, Something New by The Beatles and the A Hard Day's Night original motion picture soundtrack, (4)  All four album sleeves show shelf and storage wear and in each case the cardboard sleeves have separated in some way with the vinyl showing signs of marks and general scratches.

Five (5) Beatles picture discs marked as Manufacturers Property- Not For Sale  Including Please Please Me, From Me To You, She Loves You, I Want To Hold Your Hand and Cant Buy Me Love accompanied by three black and white promotion pictures of John Lennon measuring 10 x 8in., an image from the Get Back sessions featuring the band in the recording studio along with Yoko Ono measuring 8.5 x 11 3/4in. and two copies of promotional pictures for the Royal Command Performance appearance of 1963 and their final concert of the 1966 USA tour at Candlestick Park on August 29th, (5)    All discs are in the original clear plastic sleeves, the promotion photographs carry no press stamps and all are in excellent condition.   

Lot 8

The Beatles Corgi Yellow Submarine and two Newspaper Taxis in original boxes with minimal storage wear to the corners of each, (3) Each box is unopened and the items are in superb condition. The series was launched by Corgi in 2000, and these examples depict the Yellow Submarine from the King Features Syndicate film of 1969 and the Taxis from the famous line in the song Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds from the legendary 1967 album Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band under licence from Apple Corps.      

Lot 153

The Beatles White Album Matrix number YEX 705-1 Number 0272639 1968 first pressing stereo, top loader sleeve with Garrod and Lofthouse credit, back cover lettered Stereo, dark green apple label with the Sold in UK description and EMI Recording credit, all four portrait shots and poster and original black inner sleeves. The cover has light corner damage and signs of shelf wear and the inner sleeves are torn with the vinyl on side 1 showing light markings, side 2 light markings with hairline scratches, side 3 light markings and hairline scratches and side 4 also the same. Overall, this a is good copy of this classic album, and the play back quality is good and strong with no skips or jumps, but some background in between on on the quieter tracks and benefits from having all its original enclosures present and also being a "top loader" copy.
