THE BEATLES - three verified 1962 individual signatures by Paul McCartney, John Lennon and George Harrison, signed 'Love to Sheila' on Cavern Club notepaper, plus the amassed collection of fan club member 534 Sheila Rimmer of photographs, promo cards, newspaper cuttings, booklets and other ephemera, both loose and within a scrapbook including a matchstick used by John Lennon to prop up his microphone, Sheila as a young girl of eighteen frequented the Cavern Club in Liverpool and obtained the signatures herself at the early part of the band's career, prior to Ringo Starr being a member, a rare opportunity to acquire a single owner collection containing scarce and/or previously unseen material
The Beatles. A rare set of four signatures of the individual band members on a 'The Beatles Show' programme, for their performance in Hong Kong, 9th June 1964, inscribed in black ink on 10th June 1964, by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Jimmie Nicol on the frontispiece. On the 3rd June 1964, the day before The Beatles left for a tour of Scandinavia, Holland, the Far East and Australia, drummer Ringo Starr collapsed with tonsillitis and was sent to hospital. The band`s manager, Brian Epstein, and record producer, George Martin, arranged for a stand-in drummer, Jimmie Nicol to take over between the 4th-14th June 1964, rather than cancelling part of the tour. Martin suggested the shy 24 year-old session drummer Nicol whom he had become familiar with during recording sessions at EMI. Nicol`s first concert took place on the 4th June in Copenhagen, Denmark and he played with The Beatles for a total of eight shows until Ringo Starr returned to the group in Melbourne, Australia, on 14th June 1964.The vendor of this lot Barbara Riordan, was a BOAC first class air stewardess from October 1957 to May 1976. She served the Beatles on flight BA 900/263 boarding 8th June 1964 at Karachi - Calcutta - Bangkok and disembarking at Hong Kong on a BOAC 707 G-ARRA. After performing at the Princess Theatre in Kowloon, The Beatles departed on 10th June on flight BA 801 from Hong Kong - Manila - Darwin and embarking at Sydney. It was during this flight that stewardess Barbara Rordan obtained The Beatles signatures on the programme she had kept from seeing them perform at the Princess Theatre in Hong Kong the previous night. The lot comes with a letter from the vendor confirming the provenance of the programme and the Beatles signatures. The vendor has kept details of the dates of all of her flights in a log book which is not included with this lot.

A framed and glazed Beatles montage containing two concert tickets from two seperate performances in 1963, a photograph of the group and an official Beatles Fan Club insert. The performances date are Saturday 24th August at The Gaumont Theatre in Bournemouth and Sunday, December 1st at the De Montfort Hall in Leicester. This lot also includes a Beatles by Royal Command magazine.
A fully signed Beatles debut LP 'Please Please Me' bearing all four signatures of the group to the reverse of the cover. The cover has been restored near the bottom of the rear of the sleeve but has not affected the signatures in any way. The accompanying provenance is as follows "This is to confirm that this autographed Please Please Me LP cover was fully signed by all four members of the group in 1963 at the Birmingham Town Hall when my father who was a policeman was given this signed record on behalf of the group. He was on duty outside the Beatles dressing room door and kept fans and press away from the group before and after their performance that day. This statement is to confirm this story of how the signatures were obtained".
A signed autograph album obtained at the 13th annual star gala on Saturday, 7th May, 1966 featuring the autographs of The Beatles, Roy Kinnear, Charles Hawtrey, James Mason, Roger Moore (with Saint stick man drawing), Ronald Fraser and many others. This item comes with full provenace from the original owner detailing that it was a first prize in a competition held at the event and that she was the lucky winner. The original program is also included with this lot along with a covering letter signed by W Gatherer, Deputy General Manager of the Festival Gardens, Battersea Park where the event was held.

Also includes a tour t-shirt for Supertramp and a Madonna flag.
