The Beatles - 'Magical Mystery Tour', 1969, original music poster artwork by John Judkins. Signed and dated, 1969, flat, 78 x 59.5cmProvenance: I Was Lord Kitchener's Valet was a swinging 60's boutique, originally based in Portobello Road & later Carnaby Street. The boutiques became famous for selling military style clothing & for a celebrity clientele including the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton & Paul McCartney. Artist John Judkins was commissioned to design posters for the boutique, the most collectable of which are his posters for Bob Dylan & Mick Jagger.

A RARE 1952 LINHOF TECHNICA QUARTER -PLATE CAMERA with original case, five glass plate-slides, two lenses (Scheider 1:3 5/105 & Xenar 1:5 5/105), lens hood, Linhof Super Rollex roll-film back (6 x 9cms) and sports viewer. The Technica was the ultimate camera of its time and an exceptional portrait camera Provenance: the vendor, Mr Peter Cook is a former Fleet Street photographer / photo-journalist and portrait specialist known for his work photographing The Beatles amongst other celebrities.
TWO 1960s AUTOGRAPH BOOKS INCLUDING THE BEATLES which have never previously been offered to the market or shown to the public. The smaller green pocket-book circa 1966 and the larger book being circa 1964 and 1965 period, the larger containing the four Beatles on one page. The Beatles played at the Capitol Theatre in Cardiff on December 12th 1965 and this is when the autographs were obtained. The band were to play only two more times live in the UK - at an NME concert in 1966 and at the famous roof-top show on the Apple building in 1969 The larger book contains the following: Lulu, The Bachelors, Billy J Kramer, Lionel Blair, Roy Orbison (and band), each of the four Beatles on one page, Gene Pitney, The 3 Quarters, The Untamed, Marianne Faithfull, Cilla Black, The Rockin' Berries etc The smaller book with: Freddie Garrity, Bob Miller, Bobby Vee, Mary Wells, John Rostil (The Shadows), Eric Haydock (The Hollies), Cliff Richard, Mike Smith (Dave Clark 5), Lenny Davidson, Rick Huxley, Dennis Dayton, Herman (Herman's Hermits), Dusty Sringfield, Bruce Welch and Hank Marvin (The Shadows), Tony Hicks (The Hollies), Brian Bennett (The Shadows), John McNally (The Searchers), Tony Jackson (The Searchers), Don Everley, Phil Everley, Lionel Morton, Mark Wynter, Alan Howard (The Tremeloes), Tommy Roe, Brian Jones and Bill Wyman, Brian Poole (The Tremeloes), Chris Curtis (The Searchers) etc Provenance: a Mr Philip Loxton, doorman at the Capitol Theatre in Cardiff during the 1960s acquired the signatures for his youngest sister Cynthia Loxton who died in 2016, the two books were given to the vendor (a family friend) by the Late Ms Loxton's daughterPLEASE NOTE THAT DESPITE EXCELLENT PROVENANCE WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT ANY OF THE SIGNATURES ARE BY THE HAND OF THE PARTICULAR CELEBRITY (INCLUDING THE BEATLES). THE BEATLES PRE-BOOKING FLYER in the form of a miniature poster referring to a concert at The Empire, Liverpool on Sunday, March 24th, 1963 with The Beatles, referred to as 'Britain's Dynamic Beatles'. Listed as bottom billing on the flier with a concert including Chris Montez, Tommy Roe, The Terry Young Six and others, 21.5 x 13 cms, in the same frame as framed by the owner circa 1985, also two black and white photographs of The Beatles performing at The Ritz, Rhyl in the same period, each unframed 13 x 9 cms and each stamped by the original Rhyl photographer, also a further ticket booking flier for The Odeon, Liverpool, Sunday, 17th May, undated but similar period and featuring Chuck Berry, The Swinging Blue Jeans, Carl Perkins and The Animals etc, 23.5 x 13 cms, Provenance: all three concerts were attended by the vendor who, for The Empire, Liverpool Beatles' concert rode his motorcycle to Liverpool from his home in Blaenau Ffestiniog. He personally attended both the other concerts at The Ritz in Rhyl and The Odeon in Liverpool Note: we have no further provenance or information, we strongly advise as with any other Lot in auction that potential bidders satisfy themselves as to the authenticity and/or condition of any Lot. A COLLECTION OF AIR TRAVEL DOCUMENTS RELATING TO SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY & OTHERS (post The Beatles period) comprising an original A4 copy outlining the 'Travel Arrangements for Arrival in Tokyo' on headed paper for 'The Complete Travel Company' together with Japan Air Line tickets for Tokyo-Amsterdam-London and dated 1980, for the McCartney family, namely Mr (Sir) Paul, Miss M (Mary), Miss S (Stella), Miss H (Heather) and Mrs (Linda) McCartney together with a matching flight ticket for road-manager Alan Crowder. Also present Pan Am flight ticket for a McCartney family member to fly from Tokyo to New York, three 1978 'Further Transportation / Excess Baggage' tickets for (Sir) Michael Caine and two Trans World Airlines tickets for a Mr F & Mrs E KastnerAuctioneer's Note: The trip to Japan was part of the Wings world tour taking in Japan between 21 January to 2nd February. McCartney's previous application for a Japanese visa had been turned down in 1976 but on this occasion it was wavered. Upon his arrival, however, McCartney was arrested for drug possession - marijuana hidden amongst his luggage and the hood of one of his children. McCartney was jailed for a total of 10 days and Wings' music was banned from airing on the radio and television
