JOHN LENNON CHECKERBOARD TABLE. A large chessboard patterned table from John Lennon's home, Kenwood, in Weybridge, Surrey. The table was made for John when he moved into the house in 1964 and was the centrepiece of his living room. Many of the world's most famous musicians and rock stars sat at this table with him. It was also a focal point for John's songwriting. The chess table measures 125cm x 125cm x 42cm (49.25 inches x 49.25 inches x 16.5 inches). Unfortunately, all of the original black and white tiles have been replaced due to damage. The replacements are modern exact replicas in black and white. The wooden base on which the tiles sat has also been replaced. The metal frame and legs are original. The condition of the table is very good. Item comes with letter of provenance from original vendor and John's lifelong friend Pete Shotton. ** BEATLES

EMIDISC ACETATE INC. BEATLES - YESTERDAY. A perhaps one off acetate LP recording containing 'Yesterday'. The second track contains the original 'stock' version of Yesterday. Issued on a white label with black text 'Made In Gt.Britain Emidisc Recording Blank'. There is some writing on the label, but has faded somewhat. The 'Beatles' side is in very clean Ex condition. There is music on the other side, unfortunately only small sections can be heard as about 1/3 of the aluminium lacquer has come off. Interestingly, the side contains Another Brick In The Wall (Pink Floyd). ** BEATLES
