The Beatles debut LP 'Please Please Me' on black and gold Parlophone labels and in Mono. Possibly a crossover 2nd pressing the LP has the Dick James publishing credits and stampers XEX 421-1N GP and XEX 422-1N GH. Vinyl is in a VG condition with minimal wear and light hairline scratches. Sleeve has sellotape along the bottom edge to the reverse with sellotape to two corners on the front. Pen marks to reverse and lifting to the front foil. Corners of the sleeve are bent and worn.
A first or second UK pressing of The Beatles debut LP 'Please Please Me' in mono with black and gold Parlophone labels. PMC 1202 with Dick James music publishing credits and 'Parlophone Co...' text on rim of label. Run out groove XEX 421 - 1N with a GP tax code. Condition of vinyl is good though it has scratches, specifically two deep ones on side A and one on side B. The sleeve has biro marks to the front and has been written on the back. All four corners are bent and there is a tear along the bottom that has been unsuccessfully sellotaped at one time.
Three original Beatles signatures comprising Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. The autographs were obtained by the vendor in 1963. Please see provenance as follows 'In the summer of 1963 myself and two friends were the first to line up to get tickets for a concert at The Odeon in Romford, Essex with The Beatles headlining. We cheekily asked, as we had been waiting all night, if we could possibly meet The Beatles before the concert to get autographs. This was arranged and the local paper 'The Romford Recorder' came and took photographs'.
